Conversations in Broadcasting #100

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-seventh day of the month of September for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation involving some of its contributors (Byron Day (presenter of news) and Jason Smith (reporter of weather)):

Byron Day: I'm beginning to feel like, Buster Poindexter.

Jason Smith: Ok.

Byron Day: That song Hot Hot Hot, I mean it just--it just continues.

Jason Smith: Right, and you know what, we're seeing things ramping up as we head into the weekend, with record highs, I know, and, uh, this is normally the time of year where we get cooler weather.

A certain part of a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-sixth day of the month of September for the calendar year 2019 ("Gulf Coast Today") appeared to have this conversation involving certain contributors of some its content (Amanda Booz (host) and Jamie McGriff (host)):

Amanda Booz: All right, switching gears, the Martin family from Mobile continues its streak on Family Feud.

[note: the (bottom of the) program appeared to have had a digital graphic with text of "Martin family continues on 'Family Feud'" by this point]

Jamie McGriff: Ah, this show is so much fun. This afternoon you can see the Martins compete on Family Feud right here on NBC fifteen [or NBC 15]. The team is made up of Tamika Martin, Kimberly Westmoreland, Andre Reynolds, Charlie Reynolds, and Gwendolyn Martin, and it's going to be a full hour of fun, no doubt.

Amanda Booz: Yes, and it starts every weekday at four p-m right here, on NBC 15, and I actually got a tweet, um, an Instagram from one of the family members on that show, so I think it's really cool to see, you know someone from our neck of the woods on that show. I know they're--

Jamie McGriff: Yeah.

Amanda Booz: -- having a great time with Steve. They're not the, you know, the possibly--possibly of coming over by the station, unless they get that big win.

Jamie McGriff: -- Yes, come on, if you know them, tell them to come on by. We would love to chat, u, get their thoughts about the show, their experience, the whole nine. Hey, I'm just saying, hint hint hint,

Amanda Booz: Heh heh heh--

Jamie McGriff: -- somebody out there.

Amanda Booz: -- heh heh. Yes, we would love that.

Jamie McGriff: Yeah.

Certain Group of Disembodied Voices (similar to the voices it appeared to have had for the contributor named Jason Smith while appearing to have had him speaking): Let's take another look at that seven-day forecast and it does look hot unfortunately with very little change. We go through the end of the week and the weekend with temperatures in the nineties. It may back off a little on Saturday at ninety-two.

Certain Disembodied Voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had while appearing to have had the contributor named Byron Day speaking for other parts of it that appeared to have had been part of the channel before this one): Hmm.

Certain Group of Disembodied Voices #2 (similar to certain voices it appeared to have had for the contributor named Jason Smith while appearing to have had him speaking): Back up to the mid nineties next week as the upper ridge gets stronger, and that means  very little rain, and also temperatures that will be above average. There will be times where we hit potential records will be close tomorrow.

Jason Smith: And again early next week.

Lenise Ligon: Hmm.

Byron Day: More records.

Lenise Ligon: Where's your--where's your paper, Byron?

Byron Day: Right here.

Lenise Ligon: Ha ha ha ha ha!

Byron Day: He predicted on--

Jason Smith: [indistinguishable] we're off.

Byron Day: -- September twenty-fourth--

Lenise Ligon: So he told them I'm here.

Byron Day: -- that it'll be cooler on October fourth.
