Conversations in Broadcasting #104

A certain part of a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the twenty-eighth day of the month of October for the calendar year 2019 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had involved these conversations involving some of its contributors (Chelsey Sayasane (host) and Michael White (host)):

Chelsey Sayasane: And we were just talking about this a second ago, too, last Friday was really scary for a lot of us here--

Michael White: Yeah.

Chelsey Sayasane: -- on the gulf coast but, I wanted to say thank you, Michael, and to Jennifer--

Michael White: Oh, thanks.

Chelsey Sayasane: -- and Matt because our meteorologists here at FOX 10 are outstanding.

Michael White: You did a great job. They really did.

Chelsey Sayasane: And they worked. You guys worked so hard. So if you can, send them a message, send them, you know something on Facebook. They worked really hard, so thank you guys for keeping us [indistinguishable].

Michael White: Thanks, Chelsey. I appreciate that.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yeah.

Chelsey Sayasane: I'm excited about good weather.

Joe Emer: In the future--

Chelsey Sayasane: In the future.

Joe Emer: -- but not tonight, not everyone like Chelsey and I has your personal cell phone number.

Michael White: That's true.

Joe Emer: Would you recommend the FOX 10 weather app, for those.

Michael White: You know, what were are going to be doing ah, actually, yes, that's a good idea, but what we are going to do in the future is we're actually going to be converting the weather app into one. Everything is going to be on the FOX 10 app, soon.

Chelsey Sayasane: Ooo!

Michael White: [indistinguishable]

Joe Emer: So if you don't have the FOX 10 app, news, sports, weather.

Michael White: It's all going to be on one.

Chelsey Sayasane: Everything--

Michael White: Yeah.

Chelsey Sayasane: -- you can ever want.

Michael White: Something I have been pushing for for a long time is finally--

Joe Emer: That's some--

Michael White: -- going to happen.

Joe Emer: -- that's some exciting venture.

Michael White: It's going to be awesome.

Chelsey Sayasane: It is exciting.

A certain part of a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Wednesday of the thirtieth day of the month of October for the calendar year 2019 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had involved these conversations involving some of its contributors (Joe Emer (host) and Chelsey Sayasane (host)):

Joe Emer: I want to tell you about this happening here at FOX 10, and really cool, the FOX 10 gazebo outside, has a new name. It was dedicated to a man who holds a special place, in our hearts,   in a lot of people, a lot of viewers' hearts, and that's John Edd Thompson.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yes.

[note #1: the program appeared to have had a video with digital graphics involving texts of "THE SCOOP", "DEDICATING THE J.E.T. DECK", and "TO FORMER CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JOHN EDD THOMPSON" by this point]

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had for the contributor named Chelsey Sayasane): and so we're calling our our deck the J. E. T. Deck. That's J-E-T for John Edd Thompson. It's dedicated to a man who has given most of his life to serving the FOX 10 viewers. our current meteorologist, Jason Smith, was hired to work with John Edd, then was named his successor.

Jason Smith: I really appreciate what you've done to help shape my career, and I think this is really a great thing to honor and dedicate this, this weather set to you. So I'm glad to be here today, and, uh, glad that you're here, and be a part of it.

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had for the contributor named Joe Emer): Several members of the FOX 10 family as well as even former colleagues, Bob Grip and Chasity Byrd, came on out, and gathered for the dedication, All sharing their words. Uh, Chasity of course, a former co-host here on Studio 10, but, started as a meteorologist and was a meteorologist throughout her time here as well. So,

[note #2: the program appeared to have had the contributors again by this point]

Joe Emer: -- her, Grip working alongside John Edd--

Chelsey Sayasane: Mm-hm.

Joe Emer: -- and all of us who have worked along with John Edd. Something kind of special for us here to keep that, outdoor studio, in, the name of someone who was family.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yeah, and I, I never got to work with him here at FOX 10, but I met him a couple of times.

Joe Emer: Mm-hm.

Chelsey Sayasane: -- during the commercial breaks. He is so fun, but it was so awesome to be able to hear all of the the stories of some of those who have worked with him.

Joe Emer: Mm-hm.

Chelsey Sayasane: Really just an incredible guy, incredible meteorologist, he, is a legend here at FOX 10.

Joe Emer: Yep, now we got the outdoor studio, in his name.
