Today is October the fifth, I'm Asha Staples and we're checking in now with meteorologist Matt Barrentine For a look at our weekend forecast (exhales). We're on a trend of hot temperatures. There are some, some, um light on the other end of the tunnel. We have one more day, you said though, to get through this heat, huh.

Matt Barrentine: Yeah, get a--get a note of this amazing factoid here: our neighbors in Meridian Mississippi have never recorded a hundred degree day in a hundred and three years of record keeping--

Asha Staples: Mm hm.

Matt Barrentine: -- in October. They've done it the first four days of October.

Asha Staples: Wow.

Matt Barrentine: Incredible heat wave.

Asha Staples: It's fall though, huh huh. It's not really fall. Heh heh heh,

Matt Barrentine: Yes, so let's go

Asha Staples: --we're getting pranked, huh.

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had for the contributor named Matt Barrentine speaking): Eh heh heh yeah we've gotten punked, that's for sure.

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had while appearing to have had the contributor named Michael White speaking): For this week, for the end of September and the beginning of October, mid nineties ever day

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had while appearing to have had the contributor named Joe Emer speaking): What.

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices it appeared to have had while appearing to have had the contributor named Michael White speaking): I know, mornings in the low seventies, maybe a little rain over the weekend. The chance certainly get better, and Sunday the high will finally be under ninety, that will be appreciated but I think it's going to be next week when we get the fall air in, so we have one more week of dealing with temperatures way above average, and flirting with records. One more.

Chelsey Sayasane: Do you think today is the last day for the hot cheetos graphic?

Michael White: Ooh!

Joe Emer: You know we said that so many times.

Michael White: Yeah.

Joe Emer: It just keeps coming back

Chelsey Sayasane: But the cooler weather is coming.

Michael White: Yeah, it is coming, that's true, but Joe would miss the hot cheetos graphic.

Chelsey Sayasane: He would, he would. Hey, we'll see you tomorrow.

Michael White: Bye!

Joe Emer: Passion wave

Michael White: Heh heh, heh.
