Conversations in Broadcasting #69

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV during the hour of 6:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the seventeenth day of the month of March for the calendar day 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Asha Staples (news presenter) and Michael White (weather reporter)):

Asha Staples: Good morning and thanks for choosing FOX 10 News on this Sunday morning, today is March the seventeenth, I'm Asha Staples with a special person this morning--

[note #1: the program appeared to have had began having the contributor named Michael White laughing by this point (it had sounded like this: "Heh heh heh ha ha ha")]

Asha Staples: Meteorologist, uh, Michael White here--

[note #2: the program stopped appearing to have had a contributor named Asha Staples laughing by this point]

Michael White: Yes.

Asha Staples: --here for Matt Barrentine. Good to see you. Uhh--

Michael White: Good to see you, Asha.

Asha Staples: It's cold outside! That's what I'm excited about that.

Michael White: Oh, yeah, I am too.

Asha Staples: Heh heh heh.

Michael White: Oh, yeah, I like the brisk weather.

Asha Staples: Yeah.

Michael White: Matt wanted to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with his fellow Irishmen. So I would...swap out with him --

Asha Staples: Yep.

Michael White: --while he's out celebrating and today is going to be a decent day for it because the rain, Asha--

Asha Staples: Mm-hmm.

Michael White: --is going to stay in the gulf.

Asha Staples: That's good. That's good to hear.

Michael White: That's good stuff. So let's jump into what we got...right now. Looking live from the our skycam on the rooftop of the Admiral Hotel; the weather is quiet, the winds have died down in intensity, and if you're curious about rainfall for your Saint Patrick's Day, it is way out in the open waters of the gulf of Mexico. I'll step out of the shot [note #3: the program appeared to have had a certain being moving in front of some digital graphics by this point] I'll, uh, look like the beast in that shot [note #4: the program appeared to have had the being moving away from both the graphics and the range in which all of them appeared to have had been displayed by this point]. You can see a few light showers working their way from Biloxi to Pascagoula, and continuing to move from the west to the east, but no big issues for rainfall today. We will end up dealing with, uh, really a dry spell over the next several days. This is going to be one of those weeks...where we're just not going to expect a lot of rain. Mobile current temperature, forty seven, Pensacola, you're at fifty, and there are north winds tracking through about ten to fifteen miles per hour. The dew points are in thirties, so the air is relativity stable. Weather headlines for your Saint Patick's Day Sunday: a mix of sun and clouds; it's going to be a very decent afternoon, and we are in for that long dry spell that we're going to cover more of in your full forecast...later in the hour. Asha.
