Conversations in Broadcasting #70

A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the eighteenth day of the month of March for the calendar year 2019 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Michael White (host) and Chelsey Sayasane (host)):

Michael White: Well billionaire investor Warren Buffett -- he wants to give somebody a million dollars a year. 

Chelsey Sayasane: I'll take it, I'll take it.

Michael White: Yeah, for the rest of their life, but here's the catch.

Chelsey Sayasane: Oh!

Michael White: There is a catch. You, uh, uh, the -- the Berkshire Hathaway C-E-O is once again holding a March Madness men's college basketball bracket contest. Now the rules are simple: anyone who can pick the last sixteen teams in the tournament gets to win a million dollars a year for life, but to play you have to be an employee --

Chelsey Sayasane: Oh.

Michael White: --at Berkshire Hathaway. 

Chelsey Sayasane: Well, that's ok.    

Michael White: Yeah, we work at wala [or walla/wallah]. 

[note #2: the program appeared to have had some digital graphics involving texts of "THE SCOOP", "WARREN BUFFETT CONTEST", and "MARCH MADNESS" appearing next to each other in separate rows in the order they were mentioned here]

A certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have been part of their main broadcast channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-second day of the month of March for the calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (news presenter) and Byron Day (news presenter)):

Lenise Ligon: All right, are you going to the movies this weekend. If so, are you going to see 'Us'? Oscar winner Jordan Peele redefining the psychological horror genre.

Byron Day: Ok, now we're going to do...movie critic time here. Movie critic time.

Lenise Ligon: Ha ha.

Byron Day: You've seen it

Lenise Ligon: Ha.

Byron Day: Tell us what you think?

Lenise Ligon: Movie critic, ok, so, um, I liked it, and as we know he directed 'Get Out', which was--

Byron Day: Right.

Lenise Ligon: -- shot in Fairhope.          

Byron: Oh, yeah.

Lenise Ligon: Lee Peck and I saw that and so I said, 'Again. Look, he's back with another. We have to see it', and I will say it was an experience. It was funny and scary.
