The beginning of the local news programs that appeared to had been
part of the main
broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the
Tuesday of the sixth day of this
November for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.')
appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors
(Lenise Ligon (news presenter), Bob Grip (news presenter), and Tyler Finger (news reporter)):
Lenise Ligon: Democracy in action tonight as the votes are being counted all across the country.
Bob
Grip: Your votes, all created equal; long lines at many local polling
sites today could be a sign of record turnout for a mid-term election.
Lenise
Ligon. And now we wait to see who won and who lost. Anxious moments
ahead as we reveal the results for local, state, and national races.
Bob Grip: We have a big team covering the returns. We're in Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.
Lenise
Ligon: And we're also following the balance of power in Congress. A red
wave, blue wave, no wave, or a little of both. We are tracking all of
the possibilities. Hi there, everyone, I am Lenise Ligon.
Bob Grip: And I'm Bob Grip. Thanks for trusting us on this important night.
(animated graphics resembling text of "BREAKING NEWS" appear)
Lenise
Ligon: And we will get to the election returns in just a minute, but
first some breaking news right outside the 'FOX 10 News' studios.
Bob Grip: That's right! A Mobile County sheriff's deputy shot a drug suspect. Tyler Finger joins us now in the newsroom.
Lenise Ligon: Tyler, what do you know?
Tyler
Fingert: Well what we know at this point is that police, uh, law
enforcement from the Saraland--Saraland Police Department, the Mobile
Sheriff's Department, or, uh, police department, and the Mobile County
sheriff's department were searching for a suspect for much of the day.
Let's take a look at the video that's just from [what's] happening outside, or
the mugshot. That is Michael McGregor. That is the person police say
was shot outside of our studios here near the McGowin shopping center.
They believe that he was fl-- uh, running from them after, uh, after, uh,
an undercover narcotics bust and he opened fire ou-- I'm sorry, police
opened fire on him; several shots. He was hit at least once, uh--
McGregor was taken to a local hospital. Uh, police still out there at
this hour investigating. We are still waiting to get an update from
the, uh, Mobile County sheriff's office with a, uh, with information on
what exactly happened, but this all stems from an earlier incident; a
police chase from the Saraland, uh, from the Saraland area into Mobile.
We'll have more on that coming up, uh, but as we come back out
here, or come back to our newsroom. Again, Michael Orlando McGregor is
at the hospital being treated. He was shot at least once tonight by the
Mobile County sheriff's office after, uh, something to do with a drug
bust, or a drug, uh, a drug operation. No officers, though, were hurt.
For now, live in the newsroom, Tyler Fingert, FOX 10 News.

Bob
Grip: We had some breaking news tonight. Before we get to that, we'll
look at the race for Florida governor. As you can see, uh, this was a
very close race throughout the night, but just a few minutes ago, Andrew
Gillum, the Democrat, conceded the race to the republican Ron DeSantis.
Lenise Ligon: Yeah, he gave his, uh, concession
speech, uh, moments ago, and you can see the percentage points there; very close race. Now to that breaking news.
Bob Grip: That's right, it happened right outside the 'FOX 10 News' studios: a drug suspect was shot by a Mobile County sheriff's deputy.
Lenise
Ligon: Tyler Fingert is live now to talk about more about what
happened -- I mean it was right in front of our studios, Tyler.
Tyler Finger: That's right, Lenise and Bob, it is.
