The local news program that appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the fourth day of the month of December for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Byron Day (news presenter) and Lee Peck (reporter)):

Byron Day: New at ten: a South Carolina woman shot and killed an escaped inmate this morning. The man had broken into her home. Our Lee Peck is on the story tonight, and Lee, this one is getting a lot of hits on our Facebook page.

(note: the program appeared some digital graphics and texts of "WOMAN KILLS INTRUDER" and "PICKENS COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA" appear over a reporter named Lee Peck standing beside a monitor displaying image of a certain being below some text of "HE BROKE INTO THE WRONG HOUSE" by this point)

Lee Peck: It is, Byron. Hundreds of comments and shares. Everyone applauding the woman just like the Pickins County sheriff did. He says he gave the woman a big hug and told her he was proud of her. Now here is a mug...

(image of being on the monitor below texts of "WOMAN KILLS INTRUDER" and "ESCAPED INMATE" and above text of "BRUCE MCLAUGHLIN JR." appears)

Lee Peck: ...shot of the deceased bad guy. Deputies say thirty-year-old Bruce McLaughlin Junior...and another man...

(video involving digital graphics with texts of "WOMAN KILLS INTRUDER" and "PICKENS COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA" appears)

Lee Peck: ....escaped from the county jail around two thirty this morning. About fifteen minutes later, McLaughlin broke into the woman's home, grabbed a knife-sharpening too, and headed for her bedroom. That's when the woman fired one shot.

(video of certain being saying this appears: "A female homeowner on...the Meece Mill Road...[digital graphics with texts of "RICK CLARK" and "PICKENS COUNTY" appears] calls nine one one also...and reports that [digital graphics involving texts of "WOMAN KILLS ESCAPED INMATE" and "PICKENS COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA" appears in place of ones mentioned previously] an unknown subject has kicked in her backdoor...to the residence...and that she has shot him. The female resident's home alone when this occurs. Around three oh four, deputies arrived at the caller's home and located a gunshot victim inside the homeowner's residence with a single gunshot to the head. The gunshot...victim is dressed in prison clothing, which is orange jumpsuit type thing there, and is immediately identified as of the second escapee")

(video of reporter named Lee Peck with monitor mentioned earlier appears)

Lee Peck: Now the sheriff went on to say the woman had gone through training to get a concealed weapons permit and this was a shining example of why owning and knowing how to use a gun...are important. McLaughlin, by the way, was a career criminal.

Byron Day: All right, Lee. Thanks very much.
