Conversations in Broadcasting #59

A certain news program related WALA-TV that appeared to had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 6:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the ninth day of the month of December for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Asha Staples (news presenter) and Matt Barrentine (weather reporter)):

Matt Barrentine: And as we look down the line, the next good chance of rain will be Thursday and Friday. It looks like...the rain will be wrap up sometime Friday night. So the good news is...that next weekend, ha ha ha, won't be impacted by the, um, by the rain like the last weekends have been, so it looks better for this upcoming weekend. So let's -- fingers crossed and that holds out and that -- that we could finally have a decent weekend after...well, frankly, you know, there's been some fairly crummy ones with the last couple of...ha ha. 

Asha Staples: Yeah, two weekends of wet rain weather, so hopefully the next week, as you said, parades can roll in. We can finally kind of get into the Christmas spirit here in the south.        

Matt Barrentine: Yeah.

Asha Staples: Ha ha ha.

Matt Barrentine: That's for sure. It's been kind of cool--cold.

Asha Staples: Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure, but thank you for spending your mon--morning here with us here at "FOX 10 News". We are ending a little early for educational programming, so we hope you'll stay warm, have a great Sunday. We'll have more news and weather for you on "FOX 10 News" at nine. Have a great one, guys.

A certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel on the Tuesday of the eleventh day of the month of December for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (news presenter) and Bob Grip (news presenter)):

Lenise Ligon: Your choice of beer could say [video involving digital graphics with texts of "BEER CHOICE AND PERSONALITY" and "SOURCE: ONEPOLL" appears] a lot about your personality. A poll conducted... for...a brewery company....found that lager tend to me more goal-oriented and social...of those who drink it, uh, but also more stressed, and those who preferred ale, on the other hand, were more easy going, and preferred to spend nights at home. Uh, both are set on their favorite drink and didn't change for the last four years. Ok, so quickly, what's the difference? Do you know?

Bob Grip: Between beer and ale?

Lenise Ligon: Yes.

Bob Grip: Oh well ale can...has more of a bite to it.

Lenise Ligon: Ok.

Bob Grip: But Diet Coke is good could.

Lenise Ligon: Diet Coke is good too. Ah right, and there you go. Uh, we are going to have much more news for you...

Bob Grip: Mm-hm.

A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday of the thirteenth day of the month of December for the calendar year 2018 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Joe Emer (host) and Michael White (host/weather reporter)):

Michael White: Tonight: our old friend the puddle ducky coming back because of the likely rain; overnight low in the upper fifties, and the breezy winds going nowhere. Let's talk

Joe Emer: Is puddle ducky ready for the Christmas season

Michael White: I think so

Joe Emer: Yeah.

Michael White: Yeah.

Joe Emer: [indistinguishable] way.

Michael White: Yeah, he's ready for a break. We've had so much rain this year.

Joe Emer: Ha ha ha ha, that's right.
