Conversations in Broadcasting #68

A certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the sixth day of the month of March for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had these discussions involving some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (news presenter) and Byron Day (news presenter):

Disembodied voice (might or might not had been that of the contributor named Byron Day): And heart breaking news about a man many of you watched every night, right here on FOX 10. Alex Trebek has cancer. He talks about it when we come back

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lenise Ligon: Jeopardy host Alex Trebek announcing today that he's been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. He said he wanted to be the one to give the news to his fans in an effort to be open and transparent, and he's optimistic that he's going to beat this.

(video involving texts of "BREAKING NEWS", "I'M GOING TO FIGHT THIS", and "JEOPARDY HOST FIGHTING PANCREATIC CANCER" appears for less than twenty seconds)

Lenise Ligon: Trebek has been the face of the trivia game show since it was revived in nineteen eighty four. It's really turned into a beloved program that millions of people play along with right here every night, right here on FOX 10.

Byron Day: We wish him all the best as well.

Lenise Ligon: Absolutely.

[note: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to have had a video similar to that of a certain part of a certain other news program related to them similar to the parts of the one described here]

A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twelfth day of the month of March for the calendar year 2019 ("Gulf Coast Today") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Kelly Foster (host) and Terra Reeves (host):

Kelly Foster: And um, I'm so excited. I love Saint Patrick's Day. Do you celebrate Saint Patrick's or is it just kind of one of the holidays that...it's ok if you wear green but it's also ok if you don't?

Terra Reeves: So I try and wear green if I think about it. Normally, I'm not really paying attention unless it's during the week, on a show time. I know two years ago Saint Patrick's Day was on a Friday because I closed on my house, two years ago on Saint Patrick's Day. Yeah, it's neat. So, I had no idea we were supposed to close earlier. Of course things happened with delays and [the] lending and so it got pushed, until March seventh. Now, I'm very well aware of March seventeenth being Saint Patrick's Day. Do you guys celebrate a lot. Do you always wear green?

Kelly Foster: I always try to wear green because, um, Saint Patrick's Day used to fall at times on my, um, my grandmother's birthday -- who is now in heaven -- she is, um, Marie Murphy, and her dad, who is my great grandfather -- he came to the U-S from Ireland -- um, so, I'm from a Irish family, I love Saint Patties Day. In fact my cousin, Conor Murphy, was just on 'Jeopardy'. He won Friday and he graduated from Notre Dame, and he didn't win last night, but...

Terra Reeves: The Fighting Irish!

Kelly Foster: The Fighting Irish. So I love all things Irish...
