Conversations in Broadcasting #71

A certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 7:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the thirtieth day of the month of March for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m.") appeared to have had these conversations involving some of its contributors (Chelsey Sayasane (news presenter) and Adam Olivier (weather reporter):

Chelsey Sayasane: Well good morning and happy Saturday. Taking a live look at our Dauphin's cam right there overlooking the cruise terminal and the Mobile River. Looking like it's going to be a great start to a beautiful day. And if you're looking for a taste of Germany this weekend, Elberta is the place to be. The Elberta Sausage Festival kicks off in just a matter of minutes. Here taking a live look as organizers are getting ready for the event starting at eight o'clock this morning. It's happening at the town park in Elberta. German-style sausage and sauerkraut will be served and crawfish too. In addition to the food, there will be music, arts and crafts vendors, and plenty of activities for the kids, And it all supports a great cause.

[note: the program began appearing to have had a video involving a certain being speaking and some digital graphics with texts of "ELBERTA SAUSAGE FESTIVAL" and "TODAY AT 8 AM" alternating with some digital graphics involving texts of "NICK SCHEER" and "ELBERTA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT CHIEF" by this point]

Chelsey Sayasane: The festival is expected to draw some twenty thousand people. If you can't make it out there today, don't worry, there will be another opportunity this October. We have a heads up for all of you fishermen out there: shark fishing is off the gulf state pier starts tomorrow. Just like last year, fifteen fishermen with fifteen assistants will be able to try their luck in hooking the gulf predators. It starts tomorrow from seven at night until seven Monday morning, then you'll have another chance the following Wednesday, April third. The schedule then reverts back to Sundays and Tuesdays from April through September. We have a complete list of dates and how you can register on our Web site. Just head to fox10tv dot com.

Chelsey Sayasane: How's our weather looking today...for walking in the park?

Adam Olivier: I can tell [you] one park that's going to be... really popping--

Chelsey Sayasane: Yeah.

Adam Olivier: -- later on today. Elberta's Town Park: they got the Elberta Sausage Festival. We'll show you a live picture in just a second, but we're tracking some really nice weather for all of us today. Temperatures in the eighties...heh heh, in some locations this afternoon, a stray shower, maybe towards the rest, but we're not talking about any thunderstorms or severe weather out there, just a lot of warm temperatures going on, and that is good news for us here along the gulf coast.

Chelsey Sayasane: That's right, it's going to be a beautiful day. A lot of different events going on across the gulf coast. You got the Elberta Sausage Festival, you got the chili cook-off, the-the chocolate festival. So many to choose from, and so, we hope that you have an incredible weekend.  And again, if you have time, go on out to the Elberta Sausage Festival. It's going to be a good time. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Matt Barrentine: Yeah.

Asha Staples: Thank God, because some of that pollen has been able to be--

Matt Barrentine: Heh heh heh ha ha.

Asha Staples: -- washed away. Sinuses and everything getting cleared out.

Matt Barrentine: Ah, I know that usually people don't want rain on Sunday.

Asha Staples: Yeah.

Matt Barrentine: -- but I think that woke me. I'm sounding froggy myself, but I think we'll all take it here at this point--

Asha Staples: Yes.

Matt Barrentine: -- to get some pollen out of there and it is a, uh, damp, seared start to the day, here for us, and what we are looking at here is a -- [silence] -- flip in on [separate voice: Heh heh heh.] -- so we were just listening through your mic. That's just how things go sometimes on a Sunday morning.
