Conversations in Broadcasting #79

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel between the fifth and forty-fifth minutes of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the eleventh day of the month of May for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News") appeared to have had this conversation involving some of its contributors (Lee Peck (presenter of news) and Matt Barrentine (reporter of weather)):

Lee Peck: Well as you all know, Su [or su] -- tomorrow is Mother's [or Mothers or Mothers'] Day, but just ahead of it is a day devoted to dog moms [or dogmoms] Today is National Dog Moms [or Mom's or Moms'] Day. An* Rover dot--dot com survey finds that three out of four females call themselves, dog moms, and forty percent of them own clothing with the term dog mom on it. So if that sounds like you, uh, well, go get yourself a shirt and maybe some clothes for your dog. Teh heh heh heh.  Be sure to take a selfie with your pup and post it to social media with the term dog moms day. These are a few of our favorites posted on our age. If you have a photo and you'd like to share it with us, you can log onto Facebook or Twitter and search our handle, FOX 10 News.

[note #1: the program appeared to have had a certain video with digital graphics involving texts of "NATIONAL DOG MOMS DAY" and "CELEBRATING MOTHERS AND THEIR FUR BABIES" appearing next to each other from top to bottom in the order in which they were mentioned here before appearing to have had another digital graphic involving texts of "NATIONAL DOG MOMS DAY" and a certain other digital graphic involving text of "SHARE PICS WITH US ON OUR FACEBOOK: FOX10 NEWS" appear in place of them by this point]

Lee Peck: And it looks like it's going to be a wet Mother's Day.

Matt Barrentine: Yeah, teaching your dogs to go out into the rain. That's -- that gets interesting here for us if you're going to talk about Dog Moms [or Dog Mom's, Dogmom's, or Dog Moms'] Day. For tomorrow, yes, it's going to be raining a lot for mom's [or moms] day, So, keep her dry.

Lee Peck: All right, so that's going to do it. Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there. We'll see you back here tomorrow night.

A certain part of a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the sixth day of the month of May for the calendar year 2019 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had  this conversation between some of its contributors (Michael White (reporter of weather), Joe Emer (host), and Chelsey Sayasane (host):

Michael White: No rain on the storm tracker, we stay dry for the next few days, but waves of rain and storms are going to come back, later in the week. We got high pressure over Louisiana for now that's going to block any rain chance from coming through, uh today and tomorrow. We get just a minor chance of rain back Wednesday, but the odds do get better on Thursday ahead of a front. The problem is that front could stall, and bring opportunities for rain and storms, through the weekend, but the important thing is that--

Joe Emer: Boo!

Michael White: -- today is at least dry.

Chelsey Sayasane: Heh, ha ha.

Michael White: I know Joe is not happy.

Chelsey Sayasane: I'm also booing.

Michael White: Upper eighties this afternoon. We'll talk about the long-range forecast later on Studio 10 and I did some thinking. I was thinking to myself ok with the rain chance going up, could this mean a stalled front or, could it mean Joe's parents are flying in town?

Joe Emer: Yes.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yes.

Michael White: Or could it be both.

Joe Emer: Every time. Every time.

Michael White: Because every time they come in, there's a rain chance, so, when I'm putting the forecast together I was thinking, you know, wait a minute, could it be, your parents are coming and they are.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yes it is.

Joe Emer: And, and in fact they are, for Mother's Day weekend, they're coming in. We have a lot outdoor stuff planned--

Michael White: Yeah.

Joe Emer: -- that we're trying do, so we'll see.

Chelsey Sayasane; We'll see. There's still time.

Joe Emer: It's just--it's just--it's just an unlucky--

Chelsey Sayasane: There's still time.

Michael White: I'll try to play the violin for you.

Chelsey Sayasane: Yes, ok. The sad music?

Michael White: Sad music.

Chelsey Sayasane: Ok, thank you.

Michael White: You know there's lots of stuff to do indoors, And it does look like it will be a washout.

Chelsey Sayasane: Ok.

Michael White: There will be some breaks in any rain chances that come through, and we will know more specifics by the end of the week.

Joe Emer: It's still only Monday.

Chelsey Sayasane: We'll take it.

Michael White: You got it. Think positive.

Joe Emer: Let's not, get all down on ourselves .

Chelsey Sayasane: Yep.

Michael White: Exactly.

Chelsey Sayasane: We got it, a lot of days to go.

Michael White: I can guarantee them no snow, and they've seen a lot of snow in Wisconsin, so I can promise them that.

Joe Emer: They have, and the weather is still in the forties this morning in [indistinguishable]

Michael White: Unreal

Chelsey Sayasane: That's just [indistinguishable]

Joe Emer: It'll be cool. Coming up next, a Craftmaster collection at Barrow Fine Furniture. We'll show you how customizable this is. You can get exactly the look and layout that you want. It's the F-nine series, Michael.

Michael White: Ooh!

Joe Emer: Yes.

Michael White: Well I'm waiting for the F-ten.

Joe Emer: Heh.
