Conversations in Broadcasting #90

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-seventh day of the month of June for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Shelby Myers (presenter of news) and Byron Day (presenter of news)):

[note: the part appeared to have had a video with digital graphics involving texts of "BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS" and "SECRET SERVICE MOTORCADE'S FIRST FEMALE OFFICER" and a certain voice being used to say, "Jessica Snyder, CNN, Washington" by this point]

Shelby Myers: That's pretty cool, I mean--

Byron Day: Mm hm.

Shelby Myers: -- a woman coming from a small town, I love it.

Byron Day: She's achieved her dreams.

Shelby Myers: Definitely so.

A certain part of a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to have had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-sixth day of the month of June for the calendar year 2019 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Joe Emer (host) and Michael White (host)):

Joe Emer: Well welcome back in to Studio 10. Mike, this is something really fun and exciting that we want to let the folks at home know about. This is a live shot, looking right now, outside of our FOX 10 studios.

[note #1: the program appeared to have a video of an external location by this point]

Michael White: There's George our maintenance guy.

Joe Emer: George! We got curious about George going on out there. You can see he's deep into conversation, about what's taking place, but, uh, this is kind of a new area that we're going to use for on-the-air purposes.

Michael White: Yeah, uh, apparently, it's going to have a, working kitchen and things like that. We'll do, we'll-- weather, you know, shots out there, but it's going to be like a miniature outdoor set when it's done. Uh, you know, no estimated time of completion, but it should be done, obviously, by the end of the year, and I think it's going to look really good.

[note #2: the program appeared to have the contributors again by this point]

Joe Emer: So for example, a segment like today if Lucy wanted to grill those steaks outside, we could have done that outside instead of inside the studio, so we're going to use it for that. Like you said, weather shots, we can have interview guests out there.

Michael White: Yes.

Joe Emer: A lot of times we have someone who wants to showcase something, so we can do that outside. So, it's a work in progress, but we're really excited it about it here at FOX 10, especially pertaining, to this show here at Studio 10, because we're going to be able to find a lot of different ways to use it.

Michael White: If we were doing anything like that today, I would hope they would install big fans.

Joe Emer: Yeah.

Michael White: Big fans because it's going to be hot today. Mid nineties, with a northeast wind. There will be a few scattered storms today, but not as many as we saw Monday and Tuesday--

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-fifth day of the month of June for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation involving some of its contributors (Byron Day (presenter of news) and Shelby Myers (presenter of news)):

[note #1: the program appeared to have had a video involving a sequence of digital graphics resembling text of "BREAKING NEWS" and a certain video involving (with digital graphics involving texts of  "BREAKING NEWS", MUELLER TO TESTIFY JULY 17TH", and "PUBLIC TESTIMONY FOR HOUSE INTEL AND JUDICIARY" by this point)

Disembodied voice #1 (might or might not had been that of the contributor named Byron Day): And breaking from us at nine, special counsel Robert Mueller, subpoenaed to testify publicly, before Congress has agreed to do so next month. He'll be testifying before two separate house committees, July seventeenth. Mueller's probe found the president had nothing to do with Russian interference, in the twenty sixteen presidential election but, could not say definitively whether the president did, or did not, obstruct justice.

Shelby Myers: Definitely going to be interesting--

Byron Day: Hmm.

Shelby Myers: -- to find out what comes from that. Well we're just getting started on this power hour. Coming up, a big drug bust in Baldwin County, but no one arrested.

Byron Day: Yeah, also President Trump awarding the Medal of Honor, to a former army staff sergeant, who rescued an entire squad in Iraq. This one, you got to see.

[note #2: the program appeared to have had some videos with digital graphics resembling texts of "COMING UP" by this point]

Disembodied voice #2 (might or might not have been that of the contributor named Shelby Myers): And up next, she worked for three years as a public defender, but she never had a law license. All right, we're going to explain that one for you after the break.

[note #3: the program appeared to have had faded to black by this point]
