Conversations in Broadcasting #96

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast on the Thursday of the eighth day of the month of August for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (presenter of news), Byron Day (presenter of news), and Jason Smith (reporter of weather)): 

Lenise Ligon: Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery in Mobile getting some T-L-C today.

Byron Day: Yeah, up until last year, Oaklawn had been neglected for years--

[note #1: the program appeared to have had a video with digital graphics involving texts of "FOX 10 DAY OF CARING" and "SPRUCING UP HISTORIC OAKLAWN CEMETERY" by this point]

Byron Day: -- but, as we've been showing you, Many volunteer groups in keeping, including us here at FOX 10 News have been helping out cut grass, removing other debris that's covered many of the headstones, hundreds of which belong to veterans

Lenise Ligon: So today was another day of caring. Some members of our team out there to help clean up  . If you or a group interested in volunteering at Oaklawn, we have a contact number on our Web site. Just, check out FOX10TV dot com.

Byron Day: It is such an honor to do that.

Lenise Ligon: It is--

Byron Day: Yeah.

Lenise Ligon: -- and it's a constant need. So yes, please, if you're able to help, pldo so.
 
Byron Day: But boy it was hot out there today.

Jason Smith: No doubt, I mean the heat index up around one ten at times --

Lenise Ligon: Yes!

Jason Smith: -- to us today, so take a lot of breaks if you're working outside hopefully in staying hydrated.

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of the month of August for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation involving some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (presenter of news), Byron Day (presenter of news), and Matt Barrentine (reporter of weather)):  

Disembodied voice (similar to voices for contributor named Matt Barrentine for other parts of the program that appeared to have had been part of the channel by this point): All right, let's go ahead and check out your forecast for your Saturday. It's going to be uh, pretty typical for August. Up near ninety degrees, scattered showers like we saw today; briefly heavy with a lot of lightning. Just got to kind of go indoors and let these things pass on by. The same deal on Sunday, the same deal Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, next Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday.

(disembodied laughter similar to voices for contributors named Lenise Ligon and Byron Day for other parts of the program that appeared to have had been part of the channel by this point)

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices for the the contributor named Lenise Ligon mentioned above): Oh, wow. You went fast! Wow, Matt!

Disembodied voice (similar to voices for contributor named Matt Barrentine): I mean, it--it's August.

Disembodied voice (similar to voices for contributor named Byron Day): Most impressive. 

Lenise Ligon: He was one of those auction guys. Yeah, anyhow, happy Friday and thank you for looking in tonight.

Byron Day: We're all back by at nine and ten, everybody, and maybe, Matt will slow down by then. We'll see you then. Ok. Take care.

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of the month of August for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation involving some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (presenter of news) and Byron Day (presenter of news)): 

Lenise Ligon: And college football practice stating up today.

Byron Day: Yeah, it's kind of like the shopping days leading up to Christmas. The season getting so close. Our Bri MacNaught, has news from T [or Tee] Town, the Plains [or plains], and South [or south] Alabama.

Lenise Ligon: Also a great night at the Hank. Team China versus Team Mobile in the Babe Ruth World Series: Bri has a live report shortly.

[note: the program appeared to have had a video with a certain other being being saying, "That to me shows that--that God has spared me, he's got a purpose for me." immediately afterwards]

Disembodied voice (similar to the voices other parts of the program that appeared to have had been part of the channel by this point appeared to have had for the contributor): And coming up a little later, a Saraland family talking about the power of faith, after a new movie awakens an old nightmare.

A certain part of a certain news program that appeared to have had been on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV on the the Saturday of the tenth day of the month of August for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Michael Warrick (presenter of news) and Matt Barrentine (reporter of weather):

Michael Warrick: Let's turn things over to our meteorologist Matt Barrentine with what we can expect as we keep rolling through this weekend. Hey Matt!    
 
Matt Barrentine: Heh, can expect more of August. It is--I mean, it's--it's August. It's where you-you can't run from it down here, on the gulf coast, and this is what we saw today.
