A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that
appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during
the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the month of April for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this
conversation between some of its contributors (Byron Day (news
presenter), Lenise Ligon (news presenter), Bri MacNaught (sports
reporter), and Jason Smith (weather reporter)):
Byron Day: All right, here just before
dinner time, I want you to listen to this: braised chicken in pork
carnitas taco flights, and fresh-pressed Cubano sandwiches.
Lenise Ligon: Or you can have some San Fransisco garlic fries, New Orleans Cajun fries, or the Detroit Red Hot and Bleu Fries.
Byron Day: Hm-hm.
Lenise Ligon: You can wash it all down, with an Irish-infused whiskey. That's a spin on the Pensacola Bushwacker.
Byron Day: All of that, just a sampling of the brand new menu items, available at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Lucky assignment for our Bri MacNaught tonight.
Lenise Ligon: Bri, I want all of the fries.
Byron Day: Heh heh heh.
Lenise Ligon: All of the fries. All of the fries. All of the fries.
Bri MacNaught: Ha ha ha ha.
Byron Day: And the Cubano for me, please.
Bri
MacNaught: I do know you love your fries, there -- [appears to laugh
silently] -- yeah, I know you love your fries there, Lenise, I was thinking
about you, but, I have some loaded Irish nachos waiting for me right now. I believe they're cooking 'em up right here behind me. Some incredible
food items on the menu here at at the fish and hits hub, it's one of
the four, new concession stand options, but they're restaurant themed.
So, as you can see, there are garlic fries, Cajun fries, red hot and
bleu fries, loaded Irish nachos that I'm waiting on. Like you guys said,
lots of great stuff here. I think there's, a little bit of a holdup, so bear
with me on the Irish nachos coming my way. It's opening night, so, the
fans are flocking to the awesome, new, food menu. So right across the
way there's also, a, seafood taco that I've been reading about,
so that's what's gotten my attention. I'll definitely be, trying to get
over there, but as you guys can see the fans are all ready flocking to
the food, which I think, is the ideal situation for the Pensacola Blue
Wahoos out here. Now I was talking to team president earlier and he was
telling me that, you know, this off-season it was all about making the
fans even happier, so they put that six hundred thousand dollars worth
of renovations, into this to make it better, and so
on and so forth. So, it's been great, like we said, lots of good food
options. I'm going to hopefully be trying out those loaded nachos
out for you guys. I'll make sure to take some pictures and post them onto
social media, but, fans are having fun, and that's what it's all about.
The Blue Wahoos getting ready to take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
for their home opener. We'll have a recap of, the great game,
and, uh, the fans out here, coming up at FOX 10 News at nine, but for
now, reporting here live from Blue Wahoos Stadium, I am Bri MacNaught,
with FOX 10 Sports.
Bri MacNaught: Bri is going to need some sunglasses out there.
Byron Day: Yeah, and I need to tell you, and, they got a great crowd out there all ready, too.
Jason Smith: Oh yeah, definitely, and the the weather is so good--
Lenise Ligon: Mm.
Byron Day: Perfect.
Jason Smith: I mean we've had warm weather today and, you know, even close to the coast where we had some cooler weather lately--
Lenise Ligon: Mm-hm.
Jason Smith: -- it's getting around eighty.
Byron Day:Well spring was nice while it lasted, wasn't it?
Jason Smith, Yeah, it's starting to get hot--
Byron Day: Woo!
Jason Smith: -- out there. At least temporarily.
