Conversations in Broadcasting #77

A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel on the Thursday of the twenty-fifth day of the month of April for the calendar year 2019 ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had these conversations involving some of its contributors (Lenise Ligon (presenter of news) and Byron Day (presenter of news)):

Lenise Ligon: Most of us have at some point been affected in some way by addiction, whether it's someone we love or someone we know, Mission of Hope Ministries is a Christian-based program designed to help. A fund-raising benefit in Daphne Tuesday recognized the many people who have beaten their drug or alcohol addictions. Plus, there was a call to action, to continue the fight against opioid abuse. World Series icon Bernie Carbo sharing his story of recovery and redemption. I was the m-c. It--it really was a night filled with hope. The ministry can always use volunteers and donations if you're able to help.

Byron Day: Bernie Carver's story is really good. Summer's almost here, and with it, that means a new school year is right behind it. So if your student has some interest in maybe picking up some new extra curriculum activities at school, but, you don't want to make that big financial commitment,  got some good news for you. Blues Angel Music in Spanish Fort, hosting an informational session, if your fifth grader may want to join the school band next year. This is the first time something like this has been offered in Baldwin County. Blues Angel Music is the only full-service music shop in the county. You can just stop for free and have your child just try out different instruments, while also getting some questions answered.

Byron Day: Blues Angel Music is hosting a class this Sunday from three until six. Anyone who comes to the session and decides to join their school band, will also receive one month of free rent on their chosen instrument.

Blue Bell announcing its new flavor: cookie cake ice cream. It's a sweet cream based, packed with pieces of chocolate chip cookie cake and, some rows of chocolate, and, vanilla icing cream. Cookie cake ice cream available in stores now, but it's only for a limited time now, so you know how that goes. So if you want to try it out, head on over. Byron would want some too.
