Commentary: A suggestion for any news reporter, news presenter, or news writer (for any news operation, including any news operation for any broadcaster either related to southwest Alabama or certain areas near southwest Alabama)

No using the words "minor" and "juvenile" for describing any person less than eighteen years of age (such words could be considered demeaning or dehumanizing); just use language such as "persons less than eighteen years of age", "people less than eighteen years of age", and "person less than eighteen years of age" (update for Friday, July 24th, 2026: one more suggestion: no using the words "male" and "female" as nouns (examples of how not to use them: "the male was here" and "the female was here"); just use them as adjectives (examples of how to use them: "the person was male"; "the person was female"); for the sake of politeness and consideration)
