Commentary: Reminder of a certain problem in broadcasting: certain companies owning too many broadcast stations (thus resulting in many stations (in various locations unrelated to each other) being called or known as "sister stations")

  • A certain Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had at least one section or part involving groups of text such as some text of, "WKRG" appearing directly above some text of, "9h" appearing directly above some text of, "Courtesy of WKRG's sister station, WDHN, here's a dispatch from Marion, Alabama: all about one man's biscuit-making, culinary feats, and his journey back to Alabama." appearing directly above some text of, "https://www.wkrg.com/.../butcher-baker-biscuit-maker.../..." appearing directly above a static image related to its administration this Sunday.

(suggestion of a solution to the problem mentioned in the name of this commentary: encourage certain broadcast station owners to sell some of their stations (with each owner being encouraged to keep only one TV station, one AM (amplitude modulation) station, and/or one FM (frequency modulation) station (within the same TV or radio market area designated by a certain Nielsen Company))
