Conversations in Broadcasting #51

A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-third day of the month of October for this calendar year ("Studio 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Michael White (host) and Bri MacNaught (host):

Michael White: Well game show icon Bob Barker was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Emergency workers were called to the ninety-three-year-old's Hollywood home. The former host of the Price is Right was experiencing back pains. He reportedly suffered a back injury two weeks ago. Now according to TMZ, Barker is awake and resting comfortably. I used to love 'The Price is Right' when he was on.     

Bri MacNaught: Yes, and I still watch it--

Michael White: Yeah.

Bri MacNaught: --when he's not on. 

Michael White: Ha, ha ha.

Bri MacNaught: Heh, heh, ha, ha, ha.  

Michael White: I went to a taping -- uh--

Bri MacNaught: Did you?

Michael White: I did.           

Bri MacNaught: And you didn't get picked? 

Michael White: I didn't get picked. but I did get to go.

(gasp)

Michael White: -- and meet him back stage, which was a big -- which was what I thought was a big thrill for me.

Bri MacNaught: Was he as cool back stage as he's -- like, on TV.

Michael White: He, uh, you know like on the show, he always had this, like, bright smile and like, we want you to win this, but he's just more--

Bri MacNaught: Mellow.

Michael White: Mellow and subdued--

Bri MacNaught: I feel like you have to--

Michael White: --when he's not on.

Bri MacNaught: --be because you can't constantly be, like, super--

Michael White: Yeah.

Bri MacNaught: -- bright and like -- you can't -- you have to pack it in.

Michael White: Yeah, he was definitely more mild mannered, uh, in person, but it was -- it was still really cool to me. I told him I've watched the show for years, but yeah, hopefully he'll recover from that back injury--

Bri MacNaught: Yep

Michael White: --in no time. 

(note: the program appeared to have had a certain video involving digital graphics with texts of "THE SCOOP" and "BOB BARKER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL" for certain parts of this conversation)
