Conversations in Broadcasting #53

A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the twenty-ninth day of the month of October for the calendar year 2018 ("Studio 10") appeared to have had this conversation between some of its contributors (Joe Emer (host) and Michael White (host/reporter)):

Michael White: The mornings go back to the upper and mid forties; highs in the low seventies; and we fall back this weekend; to standard time -- returns where we get the--

Joe Emer: What?

Michael White: --earlier sunrises, but we also get the earlier sunsets.

Joe Emer: Boo! Boo!

Michael White: I know, I'm not a fan of that. I'm not a fan of that.

Joe Emer: So if we'd got rid of the daylight-savings [exact spelling/pronunciation] time -- I mean like Europe or something just did, what would we stay with. What would we stay with?

Michael White: Well if we'd get rid of daylight -- we're on daylight now -- so we'd be -- we'd on standard time

Joe Emer: So you'd be on standard time always.

Michael White: Always. I, uh -- I mean I would always prefer to stay on daylight time because you'd get the longer afternoons -- of daylight.

Joe Emer: What would we have to do to make that happen?

Michael White: You'd have to write your congressman or senator and they'd have to pass a -- pass a law.

Joe Emer: Dear sir, or madam--

Michael White: Or madam. Heh ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Joe Emer: I like sunshine.

Michael White: I like sunshine.

Joe Emer: Yours truly, Joseph.

Michael White: Ha ha ha.

Joe Emer: See you tomorrow, everyone.

(disembodied laughter ("ha ha ha"))

(program fades to black)
