• A Facebook page attributed to a person named Ric Kahuna Nesbitt had a message (with an image) attributed to the person dated for the Tuesday of the twenty-ninth day of July for this calendar year about a "record" from a former radio station based in the city in Mobile in southwest Alabama named WABB (AM). 

• A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV had some messages attributed to its administration and a candidate for the position of mayor of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (Anthony Leonard Thompson) dated for the Saturday of the fifth day of this August concerning some parts of a plan for WPMI-TV to hold a debate between only two other candidates for the position (William Sandys (Sandy) Stimpson* and Samuel (Sam) Jones) on the Monday of the seventh day of this August (the name of the only other candidate for the position was Donavette Ely).**  

• One of the members of the local news operation at WKRG-TV who usually only did news reports for their local news programming in recent times (Katarina Luketich) had assumed the role of news presenter for the local news program that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this past Saturday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") and the one that appeared on it during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Sunday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") instead of the member was usually their news presenter before her (Chad Petri).***

• One of the members of the local news operation at WKRG-TV who usually only did weather reports for their local news programming in recent times (Thomas Geboy) had assumed the role of news presenter for the first quarter of the one that appeared on its main broadcast channel during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Sunday (specifically the parts of it that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 6:00 a.m. this Sunday) before the member mentioned in the previous paragraph who usually only did news reports for the operation in recent times.****

(**the news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Sunday (Andrea Ramey of "Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had used part of the program to talk about the parts of the plan discussed in the messages)

(***the one named Katarina Luketich had been part of the local news operation since this past July whereas the one named Chad Petri had been part of it since the calendar year 2007).

News for Saturday, August 5th, 2017

• Some of the local news programs broadcast by WKRG-TV earlier this calendar week had videos of news reports* with a former news presenter and news reporter of their local news operation (Avery Cotton** of WFLA-TV in the city of Tampa in the state of Florida). 

• The weather reporter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Saturday ("Local 15 News at 10 p.m.") was a member of their local news operation who was not usually its weather reporter for that time period on Saturday in recent times (the name of the member who was usually its weather reporter for that time period on Saturday was Jake Dunne; as for the name of the one who was its weather reporter for that time period this Saturday, it was Jessica Townsend).

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Thursday on the third day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had a one of its news presenters (Mel Showers) say some some members of their local news operation named Bill Riales, Jessica Taloney, and Thomas Geboy were to be part of one of their other news programs this past Friday while a static image consisting only of those named Bill Riales and Jessica Taloney and a different member named John Nodar was shown (the one named John Nodar was usually its weather reporter whereas the ones named Bill Riales and Jessica Taloney were usually its news presenters in recent times; as for Thomas Geboy, he was usually the weather reporter for their local news programs on Saturday and Sunday in recent times).

(*they were about a tropical cyclone named (named "Emily") affecting parts of the state of Florida outside of their local broadcast area)

(**she was also related to another former news presenter of theirs (and that of the local news operation for WPMI-TV): Drexel Gilbert (she was her mother)). 

News for Friday, August 4th, 2017

• According to WPMI-TV, they have had some technical problems in some of their local news programming since their master control facilities in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama were moved to a hub in the city of Pensacola in the state of Florida in recent times.

• A Facebook page attributed to a member of the local news operation at WALA-TV named Devan Coffaro had a message attributed to her dated for the Wednesday of the second day of this August about it being the last day one of its other members (Candace Murphy) was to be part of its operation (some Facebook messages attributed to that member had suggested she was to be part of the local news operation of a TV station in the city of Columbia in the state of South Carolina (WACH-TV) after leaving the one for WALA-TV).

• A live video stream for WALA-TV had a loop of some of the local news programming they during the morning hours of this past Wednesday (specifically from between the beginning of the second half of its hour of 4:00 a.m. and the first 20 minutes of its hour of 8:00 a.m.) instead of the local news programming they had during the evening hours of that Wednesday (from between its hour of 9:00 p.m. and the end of the first half of its hour of 10:00 p.m.) before having their local news programming they had during the morning hours of the Thursday of the third day of this August (from the middle of its hour of 4:00 a.m.). 

• The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Thursday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had one of the news reporters for their local news operation (Allen Carter) saying a "crew" for a national TV program (based on actual crimes) named "The First 48" was located where a certain crime had occurred in the city of Mobile that day (note: when he started talking about the "crew" on the news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m., he appeared to had referred to one of the news presenters for the program (Rose Ann Haven) using the opening sequence of the program to say that the crime and three other crimes like it (each of them had occurred in the city of Mobile*) had occurred the same day the city of Mobile was to be in the "national spotlight" on a new edition of the national program (named "A Murder of Mobile") set to be broadcast that day).

News for Thursday, August 3rd, 2017

• A Facebook page attributed to WAVH-FM had a message attributed to its administration dated for this Thursday about a plan to have live audio of a special TV program WKRG-TV could have on their main broadcast channel on the Monday of the fourteenth day of this August. 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Wednesday on the second day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had video of one of the weather reporters for their local news operation (Alan Sealls) performing what appeared to had been a dance commonly called "the moonwalk" and standing on the tips of his toes with his knees bent for a report about how to view a solar eclipse. 

• According to a Facebook page attributed to WFNA-TV, their main broadcast channel had videos of what appeared to be had been live programming segments from a bar in the city of Pensacola in the state of Florida between some of its programs for the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Thursday (according to the guides to the channel from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide on the World Wide Web, two episodes of a comedic TV program named "Friends" were set to be part of its programming during that hour this Thursday). 

• One of the local news segment that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during one of its breaks from having a national TV program from their main provider of network programming between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. this past Wednesday  ("CBS This Morning" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) had audio of one of the weather reporters for their local news operation (Thomas Geboy) doing a traffic report instead of audio of the person who usually did such reports for their local news programming in recent times (a radio announcer for WBHY-FM named Kenny Fowler) in spite of its introduction for him by its news presenter (Jessica Taloney).*

News for Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017

(note: the name of a national TV programming service mentioned in the third paragraph of the report titled "News for Monday, July 31st, 2017" was corrected (it had "A+E" as its name rather than "A&E") 

• A Facebook page attributed to Alabama Public Radio had a message attributed to an engineer of theirs dated for this past Tuesday on the first day this August about a new satellite receiver being installed at their network station in southwest Alabama (WHIL-FM) that day (an image of what appeared to be a satellite receiver was posted along with the message). 

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had an advertisement with a professional announcer normally used for some of their local news programming in recent times (Jeff Davis) telling its audience about the channel being their "exclusive home" of certain "pre-season" football games expected to occur before the regular season for professional football games later this calendar year (games involving the Saints of the city of New Orleans in the state of Louisiana) and that it would have special programming about one of them on the Thursday of the tenth day of this August (the beginning the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. was listed as the time when it would begin having this type of special programming that day (it was usually set to have a local news program during that time period (under the name "WKRG News 5 at 6:30") before having network programs from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) during the hours of 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times)).  

• The guides to the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV from Zap2it, TitanTV, and Comcast for the Friday of the eleventh day of this August and the Saturday of the twelfth day of this August had listings of programs listed on a site attributed to their main provider of network programming as being part of their plan for such programming for the hours of the Thursday of the tenth day of this August it could have special programming in place of them in accordance with the advertisement mentioned in the previous paragraph (the programs named "Big Brother" and "Zoo" were listed from the seventh minute of the hour of 1:00 a.m. to about the seventh minute of the hour of 3:00 a.m. for that Friday of the eleventh day of this August whereas the ones named "The Big Bang Theory" and "Kevin Can Wait" were listed from the seventh minute of the hour of 1:00 a.m. to the seventh minute of the hour of 2:00 a.m. for the Saturday of the twelfth day of this August (note: the guides usually had "paid programs" listed for those time periods for Monday through Friday in recent times)).

News for Tuesday, August 1st, 2017

• The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had an advertisement about opportunities to sponsor a program for their companion station (WFGX-TV) named "Friday Night Rivals"  this past Monday on the thirty-first day of July for this calendar year.  

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Monday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had a report with video of a member of their local news operation (Hayley Minogue) appearing in more than one location simultaneously. 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had one of its news presenters (Mel Showers) talk about a news presenter for some of their other news programs (Chad Petri of "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday" and "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") taking a break from the operation earlier this calendar week (he was also a news reporter for their local news operation by then) due to his wife giving birth by then. 

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had an advertisement about their having a bureau in the city of Washington in the District of Columbia in its programming this Tuesday (it involved video of a news presenter of the local news operation for WKRG-TV (Rose Ann Haven) on what appeared to be the set for their local news programs (with another news presenter for the operation (Mel Showers) beside her) introducing a reporter for this bureau ("now let's go live to our Drew Petrimoulx) and the reporter appearing to respond to her and another news presenter of the operation by one or two parts of their names ("Rose Ann" and "Mel") from the city of Washington). 

News for Monday, July 31st, 2017

• A YouTube channel named after a member of the broadcast operation for WKRG-TV (Whitney Mosley) had video of what appeared to be a longer version of an advertisement of theirs mentioned on this weblog during the previous calendar week. 

• The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had an advertisement about a law firm in their local broadcast area (Levin Papantonio in the city of Pensacola in the state of Florida) being a sponsor for a commentator (Boris Epshteyn) for stations like theirs (members of the Sinclair Broadcast Group*)
  

• WKRG-TV and WPMI-TV had some reports about the department of police for the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama being featured on a national TV program (named "The First 48") for a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service (named A&E) on some local news programs of theirs for this Monday. 
  

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("Local 15 News at 10 p.m.") had a report about a plan for their main broadcast channel and their official World Wide Web site to have a special program about a debate between candidates for the position of mayor of the city of Mobile on the Monday of the seventh day of August for this calendar year (specifically during both halves of the hour of 6:00 p.m. for that day).**
