- The celebration for Cherish Lombard included static and moving images of her from past editions of the entertainment and lifestyle program, a visit by some of her relatives (including her mother, a cousin, and two children of the cousin), appearances by members of the staff of the program who usually did not appear on the program, cake, and gifts.
- WPMI-TV had a report in which a former commissioner for Mobile County and councilor for the city of Mobile named Stephen (Steve) Nodine was quoted as having used the phrase "prime access" (also known as "prime time access") to describe the time period in which he was expected to hold a news conference this past Monday, October 13th (it was expected to take place at 5:00 p. m.) before his plan to do so was delayed, even though the time period for the news conference was outside of the time period commonly referenced as "prime access" for broadcasters in the Central time zone (6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). There was no mention of the time period being outside of "prime access" in the report (it was broadcast this past Monday).
