- On Tuesday, February 17th, a TV documentary about a Carnival society in Mobile called the Knights of Revelry was broadcast by the cable TV and satellite TV programming service Animal Planet (coincidentally the Knights of Revelry had a Carnival parade in Mobile's downtown area that day since it was the last day of the Carnival season for the current calendar year).
- The news presenter for this past Monday's (February 16th) edition of WPMI-TV's local 12:00 p.m. news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") used her appearance in one of its recorded segments to suggest that some children not hear the segment due to her finding the subject of the segment more appropriate for adults (the subject was about medical problems involving reproductive organs).
