News for Sunday, September 9th, 2018 (amended)

- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV between the fifteenth and forty-fifth minutes of the hour of
11:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the eighth day of this September appeared
to have had its news presenter (Lee Peck) saying,"Could the South
Alabama Jaguars bounce back from a tough loss last week with an upset on
the road tonight? Sadly, the answer is no. The Jaguars fell to the
Oklahoma State Cowboys, and they took a pounding, sixty-one to thirteen.
Tough luck for South. Hopefully they could put one in the win column
next week when they start conference play against the Texas State
Bobcats here in Mobile" (while appearing to have had some digital
graphics with texts such as "SOUTH ALABAMA AT OKLAHOMA STATE", "SOUTH
ALABAMA 13", "0-2", "OKLAHOMA STATE 61", "2-0", and "FINAL" )
and,"It was a good tune up for Alabama to prepare for their conference
opener at Ole Miss next week" (while appearing to have had some digital
graphics with texts such as "ARKANSAS STATE AT ALABAMA", "ALABAMA STATE
7", "ALABAMA 57", "2-0", and "FINAL") for a certain
part of it related to sports.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Sunday ("WKRG News 5 at 5")
appeared to have had its news presenter (Jason Carter)
saying, "Well let's change gears: it's National Grand Parents Day and
we have a very special person to honor from Chickasaw. Mildred Foster
not only has three grandkids, four great gand -- grand-grand kids, but
she's also a hundred years old today. Foster's family celebrated
her birthday yesterday, but she turned three digits officially, on
National Grandparents Day. Foster also has two children, in addition to
her seven grand and great grand kids. Please upload your photos of your
grandparents to our Facebook page at WKRG" and a certain image
involving digital graphics and text of "MILDRED FOSTER" and "HAPPY 100TH
BIRTHDAY!" for one of its presentations (note: a certain part of a certain World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had what might or might not had been a recording of most of this presentation (note #2: a certain Facebook page related to WKRG-TV
appeared to have had received a hyperlink to that part of the site from
its administration after the program appeared on the channel)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday
of the eighth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to
have had a certain video involving a certain narrator saying, "Gary
Tuchman, CNN, Mobile, Alabama" and a (sudden) moment of silence involving
its news presenter (Jason Carter) between one of its presentations (transcript of some of this presentation: "Ten-four is common police speak for
[indistinguishable/no audio] pride into their day. The chief of
police says his officers say ten-four about a hundred times a day."
(note: some closed captions for an certain Internet version of the program on a certain video stream related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had involved text of "TEN FOUR IS COMMON POLICE SPEAK FOR 'I
UNDERSTAND YOUR MESSAGE'. NOW THEIR SUBSTITUTING A LITTLE SCHOOL PRIDE
INTO THEIR DAY. THE CHIEF OF POLICE SAYS HIS OFFICERS SAY 10-4 ABOUT A
HUNDRED TIMES A DAY" for this part of the presentation (note #2: a certain World Wide Web site related to a certain TV programming service named "CNN"
appeared to have a video similar to the one mentioned earlier in this
paragraph (note #3: the letters "CNN" were often used as an abbreviation
for the words "Cable News Network" in referencing that service in years
past)).
