(WKRG) — A very special piece of mail arrived at the WKRG News 5 studios Monday. Important because the return address was 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, otherwise known as the White House. It was a letter from President Donald Trump, addressed to Mel Showers. The letter, maybe a bit belated but much appreciated, congratulates Mel on his retirement this year. It reads:"and "Mel retired early this year after 5 decades at WKRG. Accolades and honors poured in from across the country, and now from the highest office in the land. Once again, congratulations Mel!". 

• Some of the news programming related to WKRG-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel on the Monday of the fourth day of this November had involved at least one mentioning of a certain name ("Travel Channel")* for a certain TV programming service connected to a certain TV programming service (named the Food Network) for a certain company (named the Television Food Network G. P.) with investors connected a certain company related to WKRG-TV (named the Nexstar Media Group) (note #1: at least one part of the programming had involved "Travel Channel" being said this way: "According to the Travel Channel..." (note #2: the channel appeared to have had a certain video with digital graphics resembling text of a certain name ("WGN AMERICA") for a certain other TV programming related to the company named the Nexstar Media Group during at least one of its breaks from appearing to have had certain news program related to WKRG-TV (named "WKRG News 5 This Morning") during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. this Wednesday)).

• A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 4:00 p.m. on the Monday of the fourth day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its contributors (a certain presenter for certain parts of it related to news named Byron Day) saying the letters "WALA" instead of a certain name often used for referencing their selves and their broadcast operation in general on news programs like this one that appeared to have had been part of the channel before this Monday earlier this calendar year and certain calendar years prior to this one ("FOX 10") while saying this: "Well every Monday at four, we take you inside the FOX 10 News vault  It's an archive of stories from years past. This time, we're taking a look back, to when the city of Fairhope began charging, a one entry dollar to the public beach by the pier. People living on the water front, at that time, had enough  vandalism and trash being brought in by visitors. • A certain part of the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV (the right side of its bottom) appeared to have had a certain kind of graphic (with parts resembling graphics for a certain provider of (network) TV programming named the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), parts resembling texts of "NBC" and "15", and parts resembling numbers and symbols on certain digital clocks and thermometers) similar to a certain kind of graphic for certain news programs related to them that appeared to have had been part of the channel before this Monday earlier this calendar year over some videos related to advertising during the last five minutes of the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Monday (note: hyperlink to image similar to the one mentioned earlier in this paragraph (for a certain Facebook page related to WPMI-TV)).  

• A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the third day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had involved some disembodied voices being used to say, "Well residents across Mobile County were invited out to the brand new public safety complex in Satsuma today, to learn more about much-needed new building for our first responders. The Satsuma fire and police departments, making their old headquarters work, since the nineteen fifties. Well now, this one point eight million dollar upgrade is bringing advances , that were aimed at increasing public safety as well as, morale. (while appearing to have had digital graphics with texts of "NEW AT 9", "COMMUNITY DAY & OPEN HOUSE", and "SATSUMA PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX"), a certain video involving a certain being saying, "We are very excited that we have a better place for our, employees to work. We have so many things than what we could possibly ever had in the old building, which was , uh, at one time a home. It adds to the public safety, of the entire region of north of Mobile County (and some digital graphics with texts of "NEW AT 9", "MAYOR TOM WILLIAMS", and "SATSUMA" appearing to displace texts similar to the ones mentioned first in this paragraph), a certain other being saying, "Well we can all ready tell that our morale is a lot higher than it was before. The guys actually look forward to coming to work, because they actually got a real nice facility to come to" (and some digital graphics with texts of "CHIEF CLYDE WILLIAMS" and "SATSUMA FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT" appearing to displace texts similar to the ones mentioned first in this paragraph), and a certain contributor for this part (a certain presenter of news named Michael Warrick) saying, "I know they're excited about that. Congrats from us ha ha here at FOX 10 News.
