• The official Facebook page for WEAR-TV had messages attributed to a group named the Florida Public Relations Association about a plan to have some of its members tour the broadcast studio for WEAR-TV this Thursday.  

• A recording of an interview with a person described as a "peace pilgrim" (named Mildred Ryder) attributed to WSRE-TV and dated for the year 1977 was available to Internet users through an Internet video service named YouTube.  

• One of the news presenters on the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Wednesday on the twenty-ninth day of this March (Lance Crawford on "Local 15 News at 10 p.m.") had used one of its segments to say their local news operation was set to "host" a discussion about "health care in Alabama" next Wednesday on the fifth day of this April and that it would be televised through their "sister station" (companion station (WJTC-TV)) and streamed onto the official World Wide Web site for their own broadcast operation. 

News for Wednesday, March 29th, 2017

• The official World Wide Web site for WALA-TV had a section about a new initiative of theirs mentioned here earlier this calendar week ("FOX 10 Weather School").

• The official World Wide Web site and Facebook page for a national radio program named Free Talk Live had messages dated for the Friday of the nineteenth day of last November about one of its hosts being interviewed on a local radio program for a local radio station that usually had the national one in their regular programming plans by then (the name of the station was WAVH-FM).

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Monday on the twenty-seventh day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report with audio of a member of the Cable News Network (Andy Rose) mentioning the brand name for the local news operation at WALA-TV ("FOX 10 News") and the news presenter for the program (Bob Grip) as part of its narrative, specifically the last two sentences of it (this is how the narrator mentioned them: "Reporting for FOX 10 News, I'm Andy Rose. Back to you, Bob". (the news presenter responded to the reference to him immediately after the last part of the report appeared on the program (this is how he responded to the reference: "Thanks, Andy"))).   

News for Tuesday, March 28th, 2017

• The beginning of the broadcast of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") was not the way its broadcasts usually began in recent times (its broadcasts usually began with an animated sequence with audio of one of its announcers (Jay Gardner) saying, "Now on WKRG News 5" and a preview of reports planned for its broadcasts (including one related to weather); as for the way its broadcast began this Tuesday, it began with a different animated sequence with audio of its other announcer (Jeff Davis) saying, "Now your News 5 forecast first" and a weather report by one of the weather reporters for their local news operation (Alan Sealls) proceeded by the other animated sequence and a preview of reports planned for its broadcast (there was no preview of another weather report for its broadcast).

• The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile started providing a matted version of the main programming feed for WALA-TV in place of the vertically-distorted version it usually had through one of its standard-definition cable TV channels since this past Monday on the twenty-seventh day of this March.  

• The live video stream for WKRG-TV had video from a traffic camera instead of the local news programs that had appeared on their main broadcast channel from the beginning of the the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Monday to the beginning of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Tuesday. 

News for Monday, March 27th, 2017

• The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile had a cropped version of the main programming feed for WALA-TV in place of the matted version it usually had on one of its standard-definition cable TV channels since the Friday of the seventeenth day of this March (it usually had a vertically-distorted version of it between then and the Monday of the thirteenth day of this March) had  by the evening hours of this past Sunday on the twenty-sixth day of this March before having a vertically-distorted version of it by the evening of this Monday.   

• The official Facebook page for a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that was usually set to appear on the main broadcast channels for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV in recent times ("Gulf Coast Today") had a message dated for the Friday of the twenty-fourth day of this March about it being on hiatus by then (the channel for WPMI-TV had extra segments for the local news program that was usually part of its programming only during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Local 15 News at Noon") whereas the channel for WJTC-TV had a syndicated episode of a comedic TV program named "The Simpsons").   

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this Monday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report about some weather reporters for their local news operation (named Matt Barrentine and Adam Olivier) visiting an elementary school in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (named Forest Hill Elementary) with an automobile described as their new "storm tracker vehicle" (the presenter of the report (Bob Grip) had referred to their visit as "FOX 10 Weather School" before saying it was part of their commitment to their audience and their community (his exact words were, "Part of our commitment to you and the community").

News for Sunday, March 26th, 2017

• WKRG-TV, WALA-TV, and WPMI-TV had some reports about their local news operations being honored at an awards ceremony by the Alabama Broadcasters Association this past Saturday on the twenty-fifth day of this March. 

• A Facebook page attributed to a member of the local news operation at WPMI-TV who mainly did news reports for their local news programs in recent times had some messages and videos attributed to her dated for this past Saturday about her doing some weather reports for them in recent times (her name was Ethel Zora Asberry). 

• Some of the breaks for promotional videos on the main broadcast channels for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV in recent times had some video of certain members of the broadcast operation at WPMI-TV (Jake Dunne and Terra Reeves) promoting a local news program of theirs (named "Gulf Coast Today") in harmony with some music based on a composition named "The Infernal Galop" (it was also known as "The Cancan Song").

News for Saturday, March 25th, 2017

• The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had a special program about an exhibition of boats in the city of Orange Beach in southwest Alabama ("The Wharf Boat & Yacht Show") this past Friday on the twenty-fourth day of this March during a time of day when it usually had a local program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Gulf Coast Today") on days other than Saturday and Sunday in recent times.*

• A former news presenter for WPMI-TV was set to be one of the hosts for the special program mentioned in the paragraph above this one (her name was Kelly Jones).

• The special program mentioned in the first paragraph proceeded a video with an announcement about it being a program "paid for" a sponsor. 

(according to a Facebook message attributed to the former news presenter for WPMI-TV mentioned in the second paragraph, the program was also set to appear on the main broadcast channel for WJTC-TV on the same day during a time period when it usually had the same local entertainment and lifestyle program on days other than Saturday and Sunday in recent times).

News for Friday, March 24th, 2017

• The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile started providing a more vertical version of the main programming feed for WPMI-TV in place of the one it usually had on one of its standard-definition cable TV channels in recent times (a matted version) by the morning hours of this past Thursday on the twenty-third day of this March (everything appeared thinner than they actually in the version that appeared more vertical).    

• The live video stream for WALA-TV had video of a news conference take precedence over the last segment of an edition of one of their local TV programs while it was still being streamed this past Tuesday on the twenty-first day of this March (the name of this program of theirs was "Studio 10").  

• The live video stream for WKRG-TV usually had a graphic with a logo for a company specialized in video named TVU Networks in place of the local news programming they had between this past Tuesday and this past Thursday.

News for Thursday, March 23rd, 2017

• The official Facebook page for WKRG-TV had a message attributed to the administration of the page dated for the Monday of the twentieth day of this March about WKRG-TV having a "personal policy" on how to refer to certain persons with the job title of "president".  

• WEAR-TV had a report (dated for the Thursday of the sixteenth day of this March) about how some members of WSRE-TV and WUWF-FM reacted to news about how stations such as theirs (those with budgets supported only by donations) could possibly lose access to a certain form of funding to support their broadcast operations. 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Thursday ("Local 15 News at Noon") had its news presenter (Kelly Foster) solicit "feedback" about their news operation before presenting some video of a member of their holding (or "parent") company (Scott Livingston of the Sinclair Broadcast Group) explaining her soliciting.

News for Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017

• The official Facebook page for WEAR-TV had messages attributed to the administration of the page and various visitors of it about technical problems delaying the broadcast of the local news program that was usually set to appear on the main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV during the hour of 10:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times this past Tuesday on the twenty-first day of this March ("Channel 3 News at Ten"). 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had a report about one of the hosts of a local radio program for WAVH-FM (it was about the way he handled a certain case of murder when he was a judge for the county of Mobile in southwest Alabama back in the year 2003 (as for his name and the name of the program he hosted, they were Joseph (Rusty) Johnson and "Armed Alabama" respectively).*  

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") this past Tuesday had a report dated for the year 2015 that one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) said was not "aired" at the time because one of the persons it was about had yet to be charged in a case of murder he was suspected of committing back then (the narrator of the report (Rudy Harper) told the news presenter that the family of another person this person was suspected of killing in another case of murder (dating back to the year 2002)** was "adamant" (around the time the report was produced) that the interview with one of their members used in the report not be "aired" until the person was "behind bars" (out of fear of him)).

 (*the official Facebook page for WKRG-TV had some video of an interview with the host used in the report before the edition of the program appeared on the program (**this was the case he handled back in the year 2003))

Commentary: A few unanswered questions

• I wonder why some folks on local TV news programs would use reports about a series of basketball games to mention "bracket challenges" as if every member of their respective audiences was participating in one? 

• I wonder why one of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Kelly Foster) would usually say certain members of their audience have "no excuses" for not doing certain "outdoor" activities on certain days based on certain weather conditions?

• I wonder what the  news presenter for the edition of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 9:00 a.m. last Friday on the seventeenth day of this March (Bill Riales of "WKRG News 5 at 9") meant when he said, "More news at noon" at the end of its last segment, even though the channel was set to have special programming (about a basketball game) from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) at noon that day?

News for Monday, March 20th, 2017

• One of the hosts of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Chasity Byrd of "Studio 10" for WALA-TV) had used the last part of the edition of the program to be broadcast this Monday to say that one of its camera operators "thought" he would bypass her and its other host (Joe Emer) having his most recent birthday acknowledged on the program (she said his birthday was "over the weekend").

• The edition of the local TV program mentioned in the previous paragraph had video of one of the news presenters for the local news operation of its station (Bob Grip) performing with one of his (adult) children in a contest similar to that of a national TV program named "Dancing with the Stars".

• The official Facebook page for WAVH-FM had a message dated for this Monday about a party celebrating a member of their broadcast operation set to retire by the end of this March (the name of this member was Wayne Gardner).  

News for Sunday, March 19th, 2017 (amended)

• The official Facebook page for WPMI-TV had video of what appeared to be the beginning of the one of their local news programs with a member of their local news operation (Lance Crawford) introducing a report attributed to the news division of their main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) about a singer and musician from outside of southwest Alabama credited for a song (named "Let  involving one of its cities (Mobile) having died this past Saturday on the eighteenth day of this March (the name of this singer and musician was said to be Chuck Berry; as for the name of the song involving the city of Mobile, it was named "Let It Rock").  

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report narrated by a member of their local news operation (Lee Peck) about some folks in southwest Alabama reacted to news of the singer and musician mentioned in the previous paragraph having died this past Saturday. 

• One of the breaks for promotional videos on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a video proclaiming two members of their local news operation (Mel Showers and Rose Ann Haven) "two of the most trusted news anchors on the gulf coast" and one of the local news programs usually presented by them from Monday through Friday in recent times its "number one newscast" ("WKRG News 5 at 10 p.m.").

News for Saturday, March 18th, 2017

• A recording of a local news program for WKRG-TV dated for the year 1999 was uploaded onto the World Wide Web site for an Internet video service named YouTube.

• One of the standard-definition cable TV channels in the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile usually had the programming feed for the main broadcast channel of WALA-TV in an improper format since the Sunday of the twelfth day of this March until the Friday of the seventeenth day of this March.

News for Thursday, March 17th, 2017

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Thursday on the sixteenth day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report attributed to a member of their local news operation (Eric Reynolds) about an interview with a former professional baseball player originally from the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named Henry (Hank) Aaron.

• The settings for the local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the midday and evening hours of this Friday differed from the ones they usually had before this Friday (examples: the ones that usually involved two news presenters and a monitor behind them ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.", "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.", and "FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had a different wall whereas all of them (including the one named "FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.) had different wall decorations with colors similar to those of some of the digital graphics used in their broadcasts (red and white)). 

• The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Friday (Kelly Foster of "Local 15 Today") used at least one part of it to present to promote report she called a "Friday night mystery" for one of their other local news programs ("Local 15 News at 10 p.m.") and a national news program from their main provider of network programming dedicated to subjects such as mysteries expected to precede the other local news program on the channel this Friday ("Dateline" was the name of the network program; as for the name of its provider, it was the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)).

News for Thursday, March 16th, 2017

• A message dated for this Thursday about a training session at WKRG-TV appeared on their official Facebook page with some static images stated to had been of the session itself. 

• The official Facebook page for WAVH-FM had a message dated for this Thursday about a member of their broadcast operation (named Wayne Gardner) leaving his positions with them (radio host and general manager). 

• The official Facebook page for WALA-TV had recordings of what appeared to had been (three) live video sessions involving two members of their local news operation (named Bob Grip and Lenise Ligon) talking about some reports they were set to present for one of their local news programs ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) a few minutes before the first segments of its last three broadcasts.*  

(*the page had several (more than three) similar videos involving news presenters for one of their other local news programs (Sarah Wall and Eric Reynolds of "FOX 10 News in the Morning" (specifically the "weekday" (Monday through Friday) version of it)) except they appeared to had been produced between parts of its broadcasts)

News for Wednesday, March 15th, 2017

• The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had a promotional video with a promotional announcer (Greg O'Neill) describing a former professional baseball player from the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (named Henry (Hank) Aaron) as a "hometown hero" without explaining why while promoting an interview with him set to be part of one of their local news programs this Thursday on the sixteenth day of this March. 

• One of the news presenters on the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Tuesday on the fourteenth day of this March (Bob Grip of "FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") was using one of its segments to present some (static and animated) images of snow he said were from relatives of his and a former roommate of his (he did not specify all of the relatives; just the one he called his cousin).

• The news presenter for the local news program mentioned in the previous paragraph used a part of the program separate from the one mentioned in that paragraph to talk about his visiting a college in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (Spring Hill College) while static images of what appeared to be him during the visit were shown as part of his presentation.  

News for Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 (amended)

• WALA-TV had a news report (dated for the Friday of the tenth day of this March) about a radio announcer for WMXC-FM (named Mary Booth) rappelling from the roof of a hotel in the city of Mobile last Friday.  

• The first segment of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") did not begin in accordance to how its broadcasts usually began in recent times (its broadcasts usually began with a "preview" of some of the reports planned for its installments; as for how its installment for this Tuesday began, it began with an animated sequence with the words "breaking news" before having video of its news presenter present news she said was related to news they had "broke exclusively" this past Monday on the thirteenth day of this March (you may learn more about this news through this hyperlink)).  

• The live video stream for WKRG-TV had no audio of certain contributors of their local news operation for some of the local news programming it had with their main broadcast channel since this past Monday (this included audio for news presenters, weather reporters, a traffic reporter, and guests of their broadcast facility (it occasionally had audio of at least one of those news presenters; specifically the one for the local news segments that appeared on their main broadcast between some of its breaks from having a national news program from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. this Tuesday (the name of this specific news presenter was Bill Riales; as for the name of the national news program, it was "CBS This Morning")).

News for Monday, March 13th, 2017 (updated)

• One of the standard-definition cable TV channels in the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile had a magnified (or "cropped") version of the programming feed for the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV this morning (it usually had a matted version of it since the year 2012*) (update: a more narrow version of the programming feed began appearing on the channel by the midday hours of this Monday (everything appeared thinner as a result)). 

• A World Wide Web site specialized in obituaries named Legacy.com had a notice about a former TV announcer for WALA-TV named G. Douglas (Doug) Paul dying last Tuesday on the seventh day of this March (you may listen to some recordings of some of the announcements he did for some of the local news programming they had between the calendar years 1985 and 1995 through this hyperlink). 

• One of the radio hosts for WABF-AM (Lori DuBose) had used some of their radio programming for this Monday (under the names "Community Contact" and "The Swap Shop") to compare some news reports for WALA-TV and WPMI-TV she said were at conflict (or "conflicting" to be precise) with each other (they were about a regular guest of their programming named Karin Wilson (the mayor of the city of Fairhope in southwest Alabama)).**

Commentary: An annual routine

I was reminded of how some news presenters and reporters in broadcasting are very similar to professional actors while watching some of them talk about the start of daylight-saving time for this calendar year. They should not be acting like reflections of certain members of their audiences and simply do as their job titles suggest.

News for Saturday, March 11th, 2017

• The local news program that usually appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. on this calendar day on a weekly basis in recent times did not have a type of feature that was usually part of its broadcasts on a weekly basis by this calendar week (the name of the program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday"; the name of the feature was "Remember This?").

News for Friday, March 10th, 2017

• This past Thursday on the ninth day of this March, the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a promotional video for a syndicated TV program that was not usually part of its regular programming plan for Monday through Friday in recent times ("The 700 Club") without any mention as to whether it would be part of that plan or not (it was usually part of the one the the main broadcast channel of their companion station (WFNA-TV) in recent times (its regular time period for having the program (the hour of 8:00 a.m.) was even mentioned in the video (it was also one of the regular time periods for the main broadcast channel of another TV station in their broadcast areas unrelated to theirs to have the program from Monday through Friday in recent times (WHBR-TV)).

News for Thursday, March 9th, 2017

• The official Facebook page for WKRG-TV had a message attributed to an administrator of the page dated for this past Wednesday on the eighth day of this March about the local news operation for WKRG-TV having a rule against reports of certain suicides.

• The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV was set to have paid commercial programs (or "infomercials") in place of two syndicated TV programs that were usually part of its regular programming plan for Monday through Friday in recent times ("Jeopardy!" during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m.; "Wheel of Fortune" during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m.) this Thursday (a ticker with a scrolling message about the programs returning to the channel in their regular time periods appeared on the channel itself during the first paid commercial).*

• An advertisement for a local news program for WKRG-TV ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") usually published in a series of periodicals based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (named Lagniappe) before the regular broadcast time period for the program was expanded last December (from two hours to two hours and thirty five minutes) was still being published for the periodicals afterwards (the time period it had for the program was still  "5 - 7 AM" in spite of its broadcasts usually beginning about five minutes before second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. since that December).

• A Facebook page attributed to one of the news presenters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Rose Ann Haven) had video of what appeared to be her using the last segment of one of the local news programs that appeared on their main broadcast channel this past Tuesday on the seventh day of this March ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30 [p.m.]") to present a report about the mother of one of other news presenters for the local news operation having died this past Monday on the sixth day of this March (the name of the other news presenter was Mel Showers; as for the name of his mother, it was Annie Mae Showers). 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Tuesday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") and the local entertainment and lifestyles program that appeared on it during the hour of 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday ("Studio 10") had a report about some members of their local news operation (a news reporter named Lee Peck and a news presenter named Lenise Ligon) reading books and talking about their careers to students at an elementary school in the city of Foley in southwest Alabama (the name of the school was Magnolia School).  

• Some of the news presenters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV were using some of their local news programming for this Wednesday (Devon Walsh, Peter Albrecht, and Rose Ann Haven) to talk about a person originally from the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (James (JT) Thomas) being part of a new national TV program from their main provider of network programming ("Survivor: Game Changers" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) expected to appear on their main broadcast channel on a regular basis beginning this Wednesday.

• The official Facebook page for WAVH-FM had a message dated for this past Monday on the sixth day of this March about two members of their broadcast operation (a radio host named Sean Sullivan and an executive of sales named Celeste Holland) getting set to rappel from the roof of a hotel in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama for charitable purposes this Friday on the tenth day of this March.   

• The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channels for WALA-TV, WKRG-TV, and WPMI-TV within 30 minutes of the beginning of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this past Monday on the sixth day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.", "WKRG News 5 at 6 [p.m.]", and "Local 15 News at 6 p.m." respectively) had live reports about a public meeting hosted by a member of the House of Representatives of the United States from the state of Alabama (Bradley Byrne) that day (the programs that appeared on the main broadcast channels for WKRG-TV and WPMI-TV had reports about the meeting simultaneously). 

News for Monday, March 6th, 2017

• The cable TV channel in the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile that usually had a matted version of the main programming feed for WALA-TV since the year 2012 had a magnified (or "cropped") version of it on a continuous basis during the evening hours of the Sunday of the fifth day of this March and the morning and midday hours of this Monday (it had a matted version of it a continuous basis again by the evening hours of this Monday)

• The news presenters for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Monday (Greg Peterson and Kym Thurman on "Local 15 News at 6 p.m.)  had used part of its broadcast to talk about a group of dancers for Alabama State University ("The Honey Beez") expected to be part of a future installment of a national TV program for their main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) named "America's Got Talent" (one of the news presenters said one of the dancers was connected to the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama on the program).

• A static image of one of the news reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Katie Herrera) and a child of hers (Mia (along with a councilor for the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named Connie Hudson)) appeared on a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles for WALA-TV ("Studio 10") hosted by her husband (Joe Emer) and a colleague of his (Chasity Byrd) before appearing on another local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles hosted by her and one of her own colleagues (Terra Reeves) for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV* ("Gulf Coast Today") this Monday (neither one of them referred to each other by name while talking about the image on their respective programs, even though her husband had referred to her by her connection to him ("my wife")).

News for Sunday, March 5th, 2017

• A YouTube channel attributed to WALA-TV that usually appeared to have had no updates since the year 2015 had what appeared to had been updates (uploads of video recordings) dating back to this past February and this March.   

• The official World Wide Web site for WZEW-FM had recordings of a weekly radio program of theirs (and their companion station (WNSP-FM)) dedicated to news and public affairs named "Community Roundtable" (CRT) (it was usually part of their programming feeds on Sunday mornings in recent times (for WZEW-FM its broadcast time period was usually during the first half of the hour of 7:00 a.m. whereas for WNSP-FM it was usually during the first half of the hour of 6:00 a.m.)).

• The sports reporter for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Lance Crawford) was the news presenter for the local news programs that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the evening hours of the Saturday of the fourth day of this March ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m." during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m.; "Local 15 News at 10 p.m." during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m.) instead of the news reporter who was usually their news presenter on Saturday evenings in recent times (James Gordon).*

News for Saturday, March 4th, 2017

• One of the digital sub-channels for WFNA-TV was set to have syndicated programming about a series of basketball games in place of network programming from its main provider of programming in recent times (Bounce TV) for this Saturday and the Thursday and Friday of this calendar week (the second and third days of this March respectively).

• The official Facebook page for WSRE-TV had a message dated for the Wednesday of the first day of this March about a plan for one of the digital sub-channels of their broadcast operation to have the programming feed for a national TV programming service named PBS Kids Channel in place of the one that was usually its main source of programming in recent times (Vme TV) by the Monday of the sixth day of March.

• The digital sub-channel mentioned in the previous paragraph had a graphic about the plan mentioned in that paragraph on a continuous basis this Saturday (it consisted of a logo for WSRE-TV, a logo for the national TV programming service essential tho that plan, and some texts of the phrases "Coming March 6th" and "Comenzando en este canal ei dia 6 de marzo" (Spanish for "Starting on this channel on March 6"). 

News for Friday, March 3rd, 2017 (amended)

• A recording of some radio programming for a radio station formerly named WKRG-FM dated for the year 1985 was uploaded onto a World Wide Web site named YouTube by the Monday of the first day of this March (as of this writing, the current name of the station is WMXC-FM).

• The official World Wide Web site and Facebook page for WPMI-TV had video of one of the news presenters for their local news operation (Greg Peterson) talking about a recent contestant for a national TV program from their main provider of network programming ("The Voice" from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) he said was "native" to the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (Johnny Hayes).

• Between last Thursday on the twenty-third of last February and last Sunday on the twenty-sixth day of that February, the main broadcast channels for WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV were set to have a special program from another TV station related to them* ("Countdown to Tampa" from WFLA-TV in the city of Tampa in the state of Florida) about plans to hold an automobile race (under the name "The Daytona 500") in the city of Daytona Beach in the state of Florida that Sunday (they were set to have when they were usually set to have certain programs at least once a week in recent times (the channel for WFNA-TV was set to have it last Thursday during the second half of the hour of 9:00 p.m. (instead of an episode of a syndicated program named "The Andy Griffith Show") whereas the one for WKRG-TV was set to have it last Saturday on the twenty-fifth day of this past February during the second half of the hour of 6:30 p.m. (instead of an edition of a syndicated program named "Today's Homeowner").

News for Thursday, March 2nd, 2017

• The programming feed for WAVH-FM was set to have the same syndicated program that the programming feed for WXQW-AM was usually set to have during the hours of 1:00 a.m., 2:00 a.m., and 3:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Red Eye Radio") in its regular programing plan for those hours for Monday through Friday by the first week of this past January in place of the one that was usually part of that plan by then since it was not expected to be available for them to have in its programming anymore by then ("Overnight America" was the name of that program).  

• The official Facebook pages for WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV (companion stations) each had a video and some text expressing sympathy to members of a marching band from their local broadcast area hit by an automobile while participating in a Carnival parade on the last day of the Carnival season for this calendar year this past Tuesday on the twenty-eighth day of this past February.

• The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had a promotional video about the provider of the programming feed added to their broadcast operation earlier this calendar week during one of its breaks from regular programming (for videos like this one) this past Wednesday on the first day of this March.  

News for Wednesday, March 1st, 2017

• Some of the special local TV programs about various activities related to Carnival broadcast on the last day of the Carnival season for this calendar year (it was also known as "Fat Tuesday" and "Mardi Gras" (the French version of "Fat Tuesday") were uploaded onto the official Facebook pages for the stations that produced them as they were being televised that day (the Tuesday of the twenty-eighth day of this past February).*

• One of the hosts of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that usually appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV from Monday through Friday mornings in recent times (Joe Emer of "Studio 10") was one of the news presenters for the local news program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this past Tuesday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.").** 

• Some parts of some of the special TV programs mentioned in the previous paragraph had reports and commentary about an automobile hitting members of a marching band participating in a Carnival celebration in the city of Gulf Shores in southwest Alabama that day.
