- There appeared to have had been some TV programming related to WKRG-TV (or at least certain parts of such programming related to news) involving some voices being used to say phrases with parts such as, "We appreciate you making WKRG News Five [or 5] your favorite choice for news at noon" being broadcast on at least one broadcast channel related to WKRG-TV (or at least one main broadcast channel related to WKRG-TV) during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. the Thursday of the thirtieth day of this December.
from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)
