(note: the previous report for this weblog ("News for Sunday, March 20th, 2016") was amended with additional information)
- WALA-TV had live reports about a new airplane built in Mobile take precedence over their local entertainment and lifestyle program ("Studio 10") for nearly 20 minutes (or from about 9:20 a.m. until about 9:40 a.m.) today (the airplane was the first of its kind to be built in Mobile).
- The weather reporter for WALA-TV's local news program for Monday through Friday mornings (Michael White
of "FOX 10 News in the Morning") had switched to wearing a striped shirt with long sleeves and no jacket for the last weather segment he had presented for today's edition of the program instead of the plain white dress shirt and jacket he had worn for its other weather segments before hosting today's edition of their local entertainment and
lifestyle program with one of its regular hosts (Joe Emer).
(*they usually appeared immediately
before some of the commercial breaks for the programs; as for the awards they promoted,
they were for the "TV Station of the Year" and "Best Website" awards from the association).
