- The first edition of a new TV program for a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service named Investigation Discovery had segments about a case of murder that occurred in southwest Alabama in the year 1981 this past Monday (*the name of the program was "Hate in America: The Klan on Trial").
- According to WPMI-TV, the digital sub-channel for their companion station (WJTC-TV) was set to have special programming from another TV station within their holding company (WJLA-TV in the District of Columbia) about presidential primary elections that were expected to occur in various parts of the United States (including the state of Alabama) today (the channel usually had programming from a national TV programming service named Grit).
