News for Thursday, July 14th, 2016
- One of the news reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Katie Herrera) got birthday wishes ("happy" ones) from both WPMI-TV and WALA-TV this Thursday (the wishes from WPMI-TV came from a colleague of hers (Darwin Singleton) while part of a local news program with her ("Local 15 Today"); the wish from WALA-TV came from her husband (Joe Emer) on a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10") that was usually hosted by him and a colleague of his very own (Chasity Byrd)).
- WALA-TV, WPMI-TV, and WKRG-TV each had a remote broadcast about a past president of the United States (William (Bill) Clinton) visiting their local broadcast area shortly after the visit on their local news programs this past Wednesday on the thirteenth day of this July (the report for WALA-TV was from the interior of a house visited by him during the visit; the report for WPMI-TV was from the airport where the airplane used to bring him to the area landed (Brookley Field in Mobile); the report from WKRG-TV was from an unidentified location in the city where the house was located (Daphne in southwest Alabama)).
