The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday
of the nineteenth
day of this April for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 10:00
p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between its news
presenters (Byron Day and Shelby Myers):
Byron Day: Tonight was the big one for two of our own.
Shelby
Myers: That's right, anchor Lenise Ligon and reporter Kati Weis
participated in the Little Black Dress event. This is one of the gulf
coast's most popular fashion shows -- look at her go -- the event
benefits the Ronald McDonald House charities of Mobile
Byron
Day: That's Kati. During the show, the guests enjoyed a cocktail party
featuring Mobile's top area chefs. Money raised helps provide a
supportive home environment to families with seriously ill and injured
children being treated at Mobile area hospitals
Shelby Myers: Congrats to both ladies -- they looked absolutely beautiful.
Byron Day: Didn't they look good -- except for that guy.

One of the parts of the local news program that appeared on the main
broadcast channel
for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the
Tuesday of the first day of the month of May for this calendar year
("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had this conversation between
its news presenter (Devon Walsh) and its weather reporter (John Nodar)
immediately after appearing on the channel in that period of time that
day:
Devon
Walsh: Welcome back. The hunter becomes the hunted -- this is such a
cool photograph: a man recently took these images of an osprey with a
fresh kill flying hundreds of feet in the air in Florida's gulf coast --
and John, he knew he'd gotten great shots, but when he looked at them
on his computer, he realized those shots got even better"
John
Nodar: Right, he noticed that the prey which he thought was a fish was
in fact a small shark and then he saw the shark also had something
clinched in its jaws, a small fish -- so a kind of double payday for the
osprey".
Devon Walsh: I mean -- what an incredible
photograph to get back to your computer and realize what you captured.
That apparently -- that's been shared thousands of time on social
media.
John Nodar: Our producer said "turducken" -- the, uh, wild game version.
Devon
Walsh: Yes, there you go. All right, well N'synch fans said bye bye bye
to waiting for a reunion yesterday. The band Members got together to
unveil their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
John
Nodar: Right, of course they'd burst into the music scene in the late
nineteen nineties and stole the hearts of millions of teen-age girls and
now they're all in their late thirties and forties and, uh, you could
call them, ala Gilligan's Island, Justin Timberlake and the rest.
Devon
Walsh: I know and I'm looking there because -- I can't see if Jus --
yes, Justin Timberlake is there. He was actually there for the unveiling
-- you can see the other members, of course Justin Timberlake has gone
on to, uh, gosh, I mean worldwide fame of his own, but I remember when
they came on the scene as N'synch I mean, everybody loved them,
everybody wanted to do their dances and their songs.
John Nodar: Say what you will about boy bands but N'synch had dozens of singles and multi-platinum albums.
Devon
Walsh: Mmm-hmm. Yeah, it was a great band at the time. Absolutely.
Thanks for joining us, everybody. We'll see you back here tonight for
'News 5 at 5'.
