Commentary: Local TV advertisement for 'Mama's Family' being added to national TV programming service (Memorable Entertainment Television)

I liked the part of the advertisement with the actor who played main character on the program (Vicki Lawrence) as the character herself asking about where she was again and the main announcer for WKRG-TV (Jay Gardner) answering her question by saying, "on the Gulf Coast" since the program was very popular in this area when it was part of their programming and WALA-TV's programming.

News for Thursday, December 3rd, 2015

    • WKRG-TV had a new edition of their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6") begin about 12 minutes later than usual this past Wednesday, December 2nd, due to their broadcast channel for the program (their main broadcast channel to be precise) having part of a special edition of a network news program titled "The CBS Evening News" during the first 12 minutes of their regular time period of its regular time (this also caused their main broadcast channel to only have part of an episode of a comedic TV program that usually appeared on their main broadcast channel after the local news program from Monday through Friday during the last 18 minutes of its regular time period for those days (its name was "The Andy Griffith Show" and its regular time period for Monday through Friday was 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)).

Commentary: Erroneous reference to companion station's digital sub-channel

I wish the presenters for the local news operation WKRG-TV would not erroneously refer to the digital sub-channel for their companion station (WFNA-TV) by the name of the provider of the programming normally shown on the channel (a national TV programming service named Bounce TV) since some of them had done this in their local news programming recently while promoting plans for the station to have programming about a series of championship football games expected to occur between today and this Friday (December 4th) and involve football teams for high schools in their broadcast area
