Conversations in Broadcasting #18

The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-sixth day of the month of June for the calendar year 2018 ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had this discussion between its news presenter (Devon Walsh) and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named John Nodar):

Devon Walsh: And you talk a lot about the dew points and the relative humidity -- so what do you mean by those things?

John Nodar: Ok, big, big difference there, well, for years we went with relative humidity, and I think people know when there is ninety percent humidity -- just--just really sticky out there, uh, but relative humidity is relative to the temperatures, so it changes all day long even though the amount of moisture in the air doesn't change; two points stay constant, so you know you're going to be miserable.

(the news presenter named Devon Walsh appeared to had laughed)

Devon Walsh: See you tonight at five everybody.

The last part of a certain installment of a certain TV program for WKRG-TV named "WKRG Sports Overtime" that appeared on a certain Internet video stream connected to them on the Monday of the second day of the month of July for the calendar year 2018 appeared to have had this conversation between two of its contributors (a sports reporter for the news operation at WKRG-TV named Robby Baker and a news presenter and news reporter for the operation named Jason Carter):

Robby Baker: And Jason, I think you have a special message you would like to get to before we end the show tonight.

Jason Carter: I will. I would love to wish my mother a happy birthday--

Robby Baker: Marsh--Marsha is she.

Jason Carter: --thirty-three times two plus one today.

Robby Baker: There you go: thirty-three times plus two today.

The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the sixth day of the month of July for the calendar year 2018 ("WKRG News 5 at Noon:): appeared to have this conversation between its news presenter (Devon Walsh) and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Taylor Sarallo):

Devon Walsh: Well if you love a good piece of crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside fried chicken, well today is your day.

Taylor Sarallo: Yes, July sixth -- which is today -- is National Fried Chicken Day in the United States.

Devon Walsh: Fried chicken, as it's currently known, originated in the American South. We don't really know exactly wha--how it started; that's really a mystery. The first recipe for southern fried chicken was published in eighteen twenty-five.

Taylor Sarallo: So it appeared in the Virginia Housewife, or Methodical Cook, which was the first cookbook published in the United States.

Devon Walsh: But these days fried chicken is beloved all over the world -- and look what...Bill Riales brought to the newsroom today.

Taylor Sarallo: If you aren't hungry enough -- it's lunch time -- here's a nice look at some fried chicken.

Devon Walsh: That's the last piece, by the way--

Taylor Sarallo: Ha ha ha.

Devon Walsh: --everybody came in and ate it all.

Taylor Sarallo: And it's mine.

Devon Walsh: Ha ha. Thanks for joining us, everybody. We'll see you back here today for News 5 at five.
