Conversations in Broadcasting #19

The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the eighth day of the month of July for the calendar year 2018 ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had this conversation between one of its news presenters (Shelby Myers) and one its reporters (a weather reporter named Adam Olivier):

Adam Olivier: And nothing going on in the tropics that's going to affect us. Chris, strengthening, but heading out to sea, and Beryl pretty much not an issue anymore.

Shelby Myers: Great news for us.

Adam Olivier: It is.

The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 7:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the seventh day of the month of July for the calendar year 2018 appeared to have had this conversation between one of its reporters (the Adam Olivier mentioned in a paragraph above this one) and a news presenter (Asha Staples):

Adam Olivier: The good news with all this rain, Asha, is that temperatures are a little bit lower. So we don't get into the nineties; we do stay in the lower eighty-- or upper eighties, to near ninety degrees. It would be nice if we stayed in the lower eighties because that would be like our first fall front, but of course that's not going to be for--

Asha Staples: Fall!

Adam Olivier: Yeah, that's another like three, four, five months away -- actually you know there is no such thing as fall here--

(laughter)

Asha Staples: Right. Oh my gosh.

Adam Olivier: -- right along the gulf coast. There are some breaks from summer--

Asha Staples: Yeah.

Adam Olivier: -- but certainly we do stay in that summer pattern going on for the next week or so.

The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the eighth day of the month of July for the calendar year 2018 ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had this conversation between its news presenter (Jason Carter) and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Thomas Geboy):

Jason Carter: We've been talking about this for weeks now, folks, Oh look at Robby, fish out of water. We-- Robby and I went fishing out with Just Cuz deep-sea fishing and goodness gracious we had a great time. Red snapper -- awesome, Thomas (note: the program appeared to have had some digital graphics with texts of "TONIGHT ON SPORTS OVERTIME*" and "TONIGHT AT 10:35 PM" by this point).

Thomas Geboy: They got a lot of fish, so if you're into fishing, you do not want to miss it.

Jason Carter: And my youngest fishing fan is right here and he can't wait to see it either (note: the news presenter named Jason Carter appeared to had been holding a certain other person smaller than his self by this point).

Thomas Geboy: It's going to be awesome. Stay tuned.

(note #1: a certain World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had a page with details similar to those of this discussion)

(*note #2: "Sports Overtime" was part of the name of a certain TV program that was part of the broadcast operation for WKRG-TV by the Sunday mentioned earlier ("WKRG Sports Overtime"))
