Mel Showers: It's time now for sports and here's Randy Patrick.

Randy Patrick Setterstrom: All right, we have the college football poll out pre-season - the A-P poll. When is the Mel Showers pre-season poll coming out?

Mel Showers: At the end of the season.

Randy Patrick Setterstrom: Ah ha, of course. We have to wait for it every year.

Lenise Ligon: Well we're--

Jason Smith: It's a comedy hour here.

Byron Day: Well, no. We're just--

Lenise Ligon: It's the rain I think . Right? Depending on where you are

Byron Day: A little slap happy from getting up early to get the kids to school

Jason Smith: Right, sure, plenty of excuses, whatever, you need a reason to laugh. We want to lighten your evening, too.

The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-first day of the month of August for the calendar year 2018 appeared to have had this conversation between its news presenters (Lenise Ligon and Byron Day):

Lenise Ligon: FOX 10 News is committed to highlighting businesses and residents in Baldwin County who go above and beyond.

Byron Day: Yeah, the Bay Minette Beautification Committee presenting its monthly awards. The yard of the month award went to Meta Landon on Armstrong Avenue. Her lush garden is full of quaint spaces, plant groupings, and overflows with charm.

Lenise Ligon: Up the road you got Russell Homes Renovators revamping two small homes and for the effort beautification went to Michelle and Charles Russell.

Byron Day: And on Bay Street the Thompson yard -- filled with flowers and other shrubbery. The committee presenting a beautification award to Mike and Shirley, for their lovely yardwork.

Lenise Ligon: And the new Dollar General on U-S thirty-one north getting business of the month award -- the location has a cottage-style design and is surrounded by a landscape lawn and planted islands in the parking lot. You know that you always notice things don't always look good, so we're pointing them out when they do--

(disembodied voice similar to laughter*)

Lenise Ligon: -- Congrats to all the winners.

Byron Day: I got the best dirt in my yard one year once, so...

Lenise Ligon: Oh wow.

(*note: the voice was similar to that of the news presenter named Byron Day)
