- WALA-TV had a computerized window with a map of their local broadcast area and other areas of the southeastern United States with colors indicating parts of those areas predicted to have severe weather on the next day (this Tuesday) based on levels of risk and a live video feed of Mobile's down-town area appear throughout various parts of the local news programming they had between 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on this day (the window usually appeared near the bottom-right corner of the programming when it had a news segment).
from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)
