- A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV had video of what appeared to had been a debate between two candidates for the position of mayor of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (William Sandys (Sandy) Stimpson* and Samuel (Sam) Jones) that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Monday.**
- Between the previous calendar week and this Monday, the main broadcast channels for WKRG-TV and WPMI-TV had advertisements about their plans to hold debates between candidates for the position of mayor of the city of Mobile this August (both of their advertisements had videos of only the candidates mentioned in the previous paragraph***).
- The news presenters for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday (Bob Grip and Lenise Ligon of "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to express their personal feelings over some video of a report about a person drowning in the city of Magnolia Springs in southwest Alabama on the Saturday of the fifth day of this August (the one named Lenise Ligon said, "Thoughts and prayers with that family (relatives of the person said to had drowned). Heavy, heavy hearts"; the one named Bob Grip said, "How awful. Awful, story" immediately after the other one)
(*the one named William Sandys Stimpson was all ready in the position)
(**some video of what appeared to be the candidates being given the rules for the format of the debate they were set to have was uploaded onto a Facebook attributed to one of the news reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Muriel Bailey))
(***the names of the other candidates were Anthony Leonard Thompson and Donavette Ely).
