- An Internet video stream for local news programs for WALA-TV and a recording of some of the the local news programs it had this past Thursday on the tenth day of this August added to a YouTube channel attributed to WALA-TV by then.
- A Facebook attributed to WKRG-TV had some polls (one of which involved video of a news reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno)) attributed to its administration with some questions regarding two candidates for the position of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama and a plan for the local news operation at WKRG-TV hold a debate with these candidates next Monday on the fourteenth day of this August.*
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV was set to have special regional programming (including a live football game) and special local programming (about elections expected to occur later this calendar year) between the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and the end of the hour of 9:00 p.m. this Friday (it was usually set to have a syndicated news program named "Entertainment Tonight" during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and various network programs from their main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) during the hours of 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.** on a daily basis in recent times).
- A Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV had video of some members of their local news operation (Bill Riales (news presenter), Jessica Taloney (news presenter), and Thomas Geboy (weather reporter)) appearing to talk about some of the functions of the operation in addition to their working on the local news program that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (under the name "WKRG News This Morning") this Friday (it also had some acknowledgements of the audience for the video and discussions of topics unrelated to the news operation such as the idea of hunting "alligators" (or crocodiles) and a story about one of the members "running over" one of them (the program had various reports about them being hunted in the state of Alabama in its broadcast this Friday)).
(*only two of the candidates were shown in the videos for the polls (the names of the candidates shown were William Sandys (Sandy) Stimpson (the current holder of the position) and Samuel (Sam) Jones ; the names of the ones not shown were Anthony Leonard Thompson and Donavette Ely)
(**the channel was set to have programs listed as being part of the programming plan of the provider for that time period on a site attributed to a holding company for the provider (NBCUniversal) and an edition of the syndicated news program between about seven minutes after the beginning of the hour of 1:00 p.m. and about seven minutes after the beginning of the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. this Saturday on the twelfth day of this Saturday (it was usually set to have a rebroadcast of a certain part of a news program from the provider named "Today" (usually segments for the last hour in which it was live from Monday through Friday in recent times), a rebroadcast of an installment of a discussion program from the provider named "Mad Money", a paid program (or "infomercial"), and a rebroadcast of the syndicated news program during that time period with the exception of its last 30 minutes from Tuesday through Saturday in recent times)
