News for Tuesday, November 24th, 2015

• The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had an interview segment for their local midday news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") initially appear as if were being broadcast live before a sign of it having been edited in advance of its broadcast appeared on the program today (the program usually had such a segment appear as if were being broadcast live prior to the one described earlier in this report). 

• Some residents of southwest Alabama with TV monitors and antennas may still be able to access the programming feed for a national TV programming service named World between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in spite of the affiliate for World closest to them (WEIQ-TV in Mobile) having been set to be without the programming between those times on a daily basis since the first day of this past October by using those monitors and antennas to receive the programming feed for World on one of the digital sub-channels of the affiliate in Pensacola, Florida (the name of the affiliate is WSRE-TV; the number for the channel is 23-2). 

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a report in which the digital sub-channel for their companion station (WFNA-TV) was erroneously referenced by the name of the provider of its regular network programming (Bounce TV) rather than by its number (55-2) on their local 10:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 10") this past Monday, November 23rd (the report was the companion station being set to have special high-school football programming being planned for this Friday (November 27th) and next Thursday (December 3rd) and Friday (December 4th) by a different programming provider (Raycom Media).
