News for Thursday, March 1st, 2018
- One of the hosts for some of the local radio programs for WAVH-FM (Sean Sullivan of "Mobile Mornings" and "Midday Mobile") appeared to had been
part of a video for one of the reports on the local news program that appeared on
the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour
of 6:00 p.m. ("WKRG News 5 at 6") on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth
day of the month of February for this calendar year.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of the month of February for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) presenting a report involving his self and a former colleague of his (a certain person named Bob Brazier (note: a Facebook page attributed to the news presenter appeared to have had text of a similar report attributed to him dated for the Tuesday of the twenty-seventh day of February for this calendar year)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the
twenty-fifth day of February for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared
to have had one of its news presenters (Lee Peck) saying, "All right,
welcome back -- we, uh, just got back from commercial break" immediately
after one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of
time that day and a certain video related to capturing fish ("FOX 10 Outdoors with Jason Smith") immediately
after having a video of one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) saying, "Thursday, another
system moves on through with a few thunderstorms and check out what
happens after that: We're actually going to be -- at normal -- after so
much heat, we're going to actually cool things off to about where we
should be at this time of year. And our weekend is looking absolutely
terrific -- might be a good to make some plans to go outdoors" for a
part of it related to weather.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m.") on the Monday of the
twenty-sixth day of February for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared
to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Daphne's
Bayside Academy holding its first daddy-daughter dance this weekend. The
event helped to raise money for the school's dance program. It also
created some precious memories for dads with their girls -- picture of
my daughter Phoenix there; she says the dance was unbelievable; so it
looks like the school's going to have a new tradition" and its other
news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "IB program at Davidson includes a
great class called Theory of Knowledge that promotes critical thinking. I
was happy to be invited to speak to those students on the topic of fake
news real life. They paid attention and asked great questions. I would
like to thank teacher Tara Smith for inviting me" immediately afterwards
(some Facebook pages attributed to the news presenters
appeared to have had some messages and images attributed to them related related to what
they were saying on the program).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-fifth
day of February for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared
to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Robby Baker)
saying, "Something a little different here during the sportscast -- I
hate to be the one to spill the beans here, but this will be our last
show with Ashley Knight -- Ashley Knight is moving on to bigger and
better things so this will be the last show she's anchoring with us --
we will get to the emotional stuff at the end, I will probably cry,
Ashley will probably cry, we'll all probably cry, we'll get to that, you
guys know me though, I like to have fun, we like to be silly so I
figured in my own special way I though to make a montage of all the
silly things that Ashley and I did on the TV" before having a video of various images of his self, the news presenter, and one of its other reporters (a weather reporter named Thomas Geboy) before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that day before appearing to have her saying,
"And before we say good night, I want to let you know that this is the
last time I'll be anchoring this broadcast. Thank you for that funny
montage earlier that kept me from crying" immediately after that break (note: the program appeared to have had another montage involving her and the reporters (including a graphic of a blue rectangle with text of "Not Goodbye, We Will See You
Soon!" over an image of the sports reporter hugging the news
presenter with the head of the weather reporter between their chests)
with audio of the one specialized in weather describing them (in addition to presenting statements unrelated to them such as, "I hated that you're
leaving") before having her saying, "I'm going to miss you guys so
very much and uh -- I -- I can't say where I'm going just yet, but you
can follow along with me -- I'll be keeping my Facebook page and through
social media and, uh, but first I'll be taking a much needed, much
deserved vacation with my family so -- my family and I are very much
look forward to that. so thank you very much for--for being my pals up
here and so for the last time thank you for joining us and good night
everyone".
