News for Sunday, March 4th, 2018
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this March ("Gulf Coast Today") appeared to have had a member of one of the radio stations in their local broadcast area (Dan Brennan of WKSJ-FM) hosting it with one of its regular hosts (Terra Reeves).
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that
appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of
9:00 a.m. on the Friday of the second day of this March ("Studio 10")
appeared to have had one of its hosts (Chasity Byrd)
saying, "Hungry Girl magazine owned by our parent company -- uh, the
Meredith Corporation and that's how we're able to get all these helpful
tips from Hungry Girl" after having a video involving a person referring
to her self as "Hungry Girl".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of
this March ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of
its news presenter (Bob Grip)
saying, "Elvis maybe" while presenting one of its reports (this was the
report: "And more family fun activities at the Satsuma Swamp Fest. The
annual festival is tomorrow from eight until three on the campus of
Satsuma High School There will be vendors, arts and crafts, live music,
Elvis maybe, food, kids activities, and a big classic car show. The
proceeds will benefit Friends of Satsuma Schools").
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had a certain video with an announcement in which only some of the weather reporters usually listed on a World Wide Web site attributed to them as being part of their news operation in recent times (Alan Sealls, Thomas Geboy, and John Nodar) were mentioned during one of its breaks from having a local news program of theirs involving the one not mentioned in the video (named Christina Andress) during the hour of 5:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the third day of this March (note #1: the site appeared to have had the month of September for the previous calendar year (2017) in reference to when she became one of the weather reporters for the operation (note #2: the name of the news program with her was "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 6:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the third day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.') appeared to have had one of its reporters (Matt Barrentine) saying, "We deserve this, we've had some, uh, crummy weekends lately, and, uh,
I'll just say, and, uh, this weekend [is] essentially perfect. Absolutely
terrific, so great weather on tap for your weekend; no excuses, get
outside and enjoy some beautiful weather. Yeah, a little crisp this
morning for sure, uh, but don't worry things will warm up very quickly
as we go through the morning" immediately after having its news presenter (Asha Staples) saying, "Good morning and thank you for choosing FOX 10 News on this Saturday morning. I'm Asha Staples with meteorologist Matt Barrentine to give us a look at our weekend forecast for today. It was a lot cooler this morning walking and waking up and getting outside".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this March ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "The Mobile County Sheriff's office has arrested Robert Mueller for drug charges -- no, not the Robert Mueller leading the Russian interference investigation into the 2016 presidential election, but this guy -- a 37-year-old from Miami" for one of its report (note: #1: some of the local news programming the channel had earlier that day appeared to have had a presentation of a similar report regarding a certain Robert Mueller being arrested for charges related to drugs without any mention of any other Robert Mueller (note #2: the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that Friday ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.")
appeared to have had its news presenter (Bob Grip) presenting a report
similar to the one one mentioned near the beginning of this paragraph ("New tonight at ten, the Mobile County
Sheriff's office made another drug bust yesterday; we're told that
Robert Mueller -- yeah, this Robert Mueller, not the one you've been
hearing about -- has been traveling on I-10 heading west toward
Mississippi when he was arrested")).
