News for Saturday, September 29th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-eighth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Mel Showers) saying,"A bad week for the University of South Alabama seems to be getting worse -- a student claims to have found a swastika carved into a chair in a classroom".
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-eighth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "Welcome back, everyone. Happening tomorrow, you can enjoy a delicious brisket lunch and some family-friendly fun and give back to Mobile's first responders. The Brisket for Blue event kicks off tomorrow morning at eleven o'clock. The benefit is a fund raiser for the Mobile Law Enforcement Association and the Fireman's Safety Fund. Event organizer Betty Bryan said this is a way to show appreciation for our first responders" immediately after appearing to have had a sequence of animation related to the program immediately after one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time (note: the program appeared to have had a certain video involving a certain being and some digital graphics with texts of "HAPPENING TOMORROW", "BETTY BRYAN", and "BRISKET FOR BLUE ORGANIZER" afterwards).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-sixth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "In tonight's FOX 10 News Fugitive Files, a man picks the wrong time to cross paths with a bad guy and it costs him. Byron Day is in our studio now with details on tonight's spotlight fugitive. Byron" before appearing to have had one of its reporters (a news reporter named Byron Day) moving his mouth without audio for about nine seconds before suddenly appearing to have had audio of the voice of the reporter (echoing) being used to certain phrase involving the words "cell phone" at a volume lower than those of other speakers on the program before then before appearing its other news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "All right, we'll try to check back in with Byron later" immediately afterwards (note: a separate part of the program appeared to have had the news presenter named Bob Grip saying, "All right, let's go back to FOX 10 News Fugitive Files; the guy who picked a wrong time to cross paths with a bad and it cost him. Byron Day is here in the studio. Byron" before appearing to have had the reporter named Byron Day saying, "All right, Bob, thanks very much; a certain video with a certain narrator saying, "Move over, Robo Cup. K-5 is in town. Yeah, robots May end up stopping crime in your town   (with some digital graphics involving texts of "DAILY DOT COM" and "ROBOT CRIMESTOPPERS DEBUT"); a certain sequence of animation with audio of a certain disembodied voice being used to say, "FOX 10 Young Champions is sponsored by...ABC Supply Company" immediately after appearing to have had one of its other reporters (a sports reporter named Bri MacNaught) saying, "For FOX 10 Sports" and immediately before appearing to have had the same reporter saying, "Not leaving quite yet" immediately afterwards for a certain part of it related to sports (note: the reporter appeared to had been saying this near the end of that part: "For FOX 10 Sports, I'm Bri MacNaught"); and some music often used for its openings and closings on the channel being used suddenly for a certain part of it related to weather involving another one of its reporters (Jason Smith).
