News for Sunday, December 11th, 2016 (amended)

(amendment note: more information was added to the first paragraph below this message and the notes in parentheses near the bottom of this report)
  • The main broadcast channel for WJTC-TV had a special (Christmas) episode of a new comedic TV program that became available to them and other broadcasters through syndication for the first time this past Saturday on the tenth day of this December during the hour of 1:00 p.m. that day (the name of the program was "This Just In"; as for the name of its syndicate, it was Associated Television International).*
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Friday on the ninth day of this December ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had a report about the holding company for their main provider of network programming (21st Century Fox) having a "preliminary deal" to have complete ownership of a company specialized in providing TV programming in the United Kingdom (Sky).
(*a national TV programming service named Pop was set to have a regular episode of the program earlier that Saturday during the second half of the hour of 9:00 a.m.)
(**the news program usually had a profile (titled "Remember This?") of different TV program originally broadcast on Saturday mornings on a weekly basis)
