- Construction on one of the roads of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama caused one of the cables used by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile (for providing cable TV, Internet, and telephone services) to be disconnected from the home of the author of this weblog this past Thursday on the nineteenth day of this January (it was repaired afterwards this Friday).
- The main broadcast channel and Internet video stream for WALA-TV did not have a regular conclusion to a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that was usually part of their programming from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Studio 10") back on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this January
(they had instrumental music normally used in their presentations of it instead of any farewells like previous presentations of it*).
