• As of this writing, there are some available positions in weather reporting at WALA-TV and WKRG-TV and two available positions at news presenting at WEAR-TV (one of the available positions at WEAR-TV would require its holder to appear primarily on local evening news programs while the other one would require its holder to work primarily on weekends and to make his or her own news reports in addition to presenting news reports made by other folks).

• According to Alabama Public Radio, they are in the process of getting a new audio provider for one of their HD Radio programming streams, specifically the one that used to have programming from XPoNential Radio (note: the Alabama Public Radio station licensed to Mobile did not have programming from XPoNential Radio broadcast locally due its inability to broadcast HD Radio signals, but it was still accessible to folks in the broadcast area of the station through the official World Wide Web site for Alabama Public Radio and the one for XPoNential Radio itself).
