• WPMI-TV had a report with the director of operations at WZEW-FM and WNSP-FM (Tim Camp) in their local news programming this past Thursday, September 17th. 

• According to a Facebook message attributed to a weather reporter for WPMI-TV named Derek Beasley dated for this past Thursday (September 17th), today was set to be his final workday for them.  

• One of the news presenters for WKRG-TV's local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (Bill Riales of "WKRG News 5 This Morning") referred to a former news presenter for WPMI-TV (Pat Greenwood) on today's edition of the program while talking about a game of volleyball involving him, the former news presenter, a weather reporter for the program (John Nodar), and the host of a nationally-syndicated TV program from Mobile that was usually part of WKRG-TV's programming plans for Saturday in recent times (Danny Lipford of "Today's Homeowner") (this is how the news presenter referred to the former news presenter: "Let's see, Pat Greenwood was there: he used to compete with us on another station here in the mornings and he's now over at USA [the University of South Alabama in Mobile] and and his wife Stephanie works with Danny Lipford").
