- WPMI-TV and WKRG-TV each had a reporter from a separate part of their holding company (Megan Gilliland of WBFF-TV for WPMI-TV; Mark Meredith of the news bureau in the District of Columbia for the holding company for WKRG-TV) broadcasting from the District of Columbia about plans for the leader of the Catholic Church (Jorge Mario Bergoglio, or Francis the First) to visit the United States today in their local news programming this morning (the holding company for WBFF-TV and WPMI-TV is the Sinclair Broadcast Group; the holding company for WKRG-TV is Media General).
