• The broadcast facility for WALA-TV in Mobile was used to give members of the public prostate examinations without charges last Friday, September 18th.

• WPMI-TV had two new weather reporters join their local news operation by this weekend named Steve Taylor (an Internet broadcaster and professional announcer) and Chris Dunn (a professional announcer and former weather reporter for other TV stations).

• A news presenter and sports reporter for WALA-TV named Michael Brannon talked about his voice being part of an advertisement (or "trailer") for a new theatrical movie made in Mobile recently named "Heist" (it was named "Bus 657" previously) immediately after presenting a report about the advertisement in their local news programming today* (he said this in the advertisement: "We are following the Bus 657 hostage situation").
