- A brand name not normally used in reference to WPMI-TV in their local news programming since the August of the calendar year 2009 ("NBC 15") was used in reference to them in some of the local news programming they had this Monday (for example, the local news program that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Monday had some members of their local news operation referring to it as "NBC 15 Today" rather than the one normally used in reference to it since then ("Local 15 Today" (it was based on the brand name normally used in reference to them since : "Local 15").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the fifth day of this September ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had one of its news presenters (Kym Thurman) saying only the phrase "our sister station" in reference to a TV station outside of the TV market for southwest Alabama (WPDE-TV in the city of Conway in the state of South Carolina) while introducing video of a report attributed to them for the program.
- A Facebook page attributed to one of the news presenters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Darwin Singleton) had some messages dated for this Monday about the brand name mentioned in the first paragraph from the top of this this report attributed to him and some other persons who were also members of the operation (Joe Raia (a former director), Deitra Tate (a former weather reporter), Blake Brown (a former news reporter), and Dave Anderson (a former editor of video)).*
- The local news program mentioned in the first paragraph from the top of this report had at least one of its news presenters talking about their being part of a "transition" period after appearing to give an electronic mail address normally used for sending information for acknowledging birthdays on the program in recent times (it had the domain name "@local15tv.com") before giving an electronic mail address not normally used for that purpose (it had "@mynbc15.com").
