News for Tuesday, September 19th, 2017
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had an advertisement about a video for a special series of videos for their local news operation with a voice not normally used in such advertisements in recent times before having it on at least one of the local news programs set to be part of its programming on the Monday of the eleventh day of this September (they usually had the voice of the announcements for the animated sequences normally used to begin its local news programs in recent times; as for what the series of videos was about, it was about a special initiative attributed to WALA-TV named "The FOX 10 Surprise Squad").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 5") had one of its news presenters (Peter Albrecht) referring to one of its subjects as a combination of "cruelty" and "stupidity" while discussing a report about it with one of the news reporters for their local news operation (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno)).
- A programming feed for a national TV programming service named Stadium was added to the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile sometime between the morning hours of this Tuesday and the morning hours of this past Monday on the eighteenth day of this September (it appeared to had been that of a digital sub-channel added to the broadcast operation for WPMI-TV earlier this September).
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had an advertisement about a plan for one of their local news programs ("NBC 15 News [at 10 p.m.]") to have salutes to former members of armed services ("veterans") in its broadcasts for Monday through Friday ("weekdays") this past Monday (the program had some in its broadcasts earlier this September).
