- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Saturday ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had its news presenter and sports presenter (Lance Crawford) talking about this Saturday being the thirteenth anniversary of the day a tropical cyclone named "Ivan" had its core (or "eye") over southwest Alabama.
- A Facebook page attributed to a news reporter for the local news operation at WPMI-TV named Jasmine Williams had a message attributed to her dated for the Thursday of the fourteenth day of this September about some plans for their broadcast operation to have a different name and a different logo along with an image of the number "15" and the logo for its main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting Company (NBC))
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had some video of a graphic with elements similar to those of the image mentioned in the previous paragraph (with the exception of its "15" being whiter) with a graphic associated with a business named Church's Chicken with an announcement involving a former brand name for the local news operation at WPMI-TV ("NBC 15 News") immediately before having the last segment of the local news program mentioned in the paragraph above the previous one (this was the announcement itself: "NBC 15 News is brought to you in part by Church's").
